Book Discussion Group: We continue with Nativities & Passions: Words for Transformation written by Martin Lee Smith, SSJE. The Discussion group is open to anyone at any time. It meets after the 10:00 am service on Sundays and wraps up around noon. Please come and give it a try.
Attention High Schoolers: The High School Sunday Class is invited to Father Adam’s house (the Rectory) for dinner and Bible Study and will be led by Father Adam, Lori Linton, and Sarah Kelb. The Cape Cod Community Orchestra, with John P. Hagon conducting, will present one of our Fall Concerts on Sunday, November 18 at the Brewster Baptist Church beginning at 3:00 pm. Admission is free and free will donations will be accepted. The program will include music by Ludwig van Beethoven, Claude-Michel Schonberg, Isaac Albeniz, Jay UNger, and Gordon Jacob.

Nauset Interfaith Thanksgiving Service: Sunday, November 18 at 5:00 pm at the Eastham Methodist Church. June MacDonald, lector at Holy Spirit, who is a member of the Aquinnah Wampanoag tribe, will read excerpts from her brother’s essay on the 350th anniversary of the founding of Plymouth Plantation.
A Thanksgiving Worship Service will be held on Thursday, November 22 at 10:00 am. Please join us!
The 35th Annual Holiday Antiques Show and Sale will be held on Friday, November 24 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm and on Saturday, November 24 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm in the parish hall. Admission is $4 per person ($3.50 with a discount ad or ticket). Fresh lobster rolls will again be featured at the luncheon — both days of the show!
First Fruits Christmas Sale: Sunday December 2 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm in the parish hall. You’ll find a variety of special holiday selections, with everything from festive arranged greens, gift baskets, jams and jellies to appetizing baked goods! Don’t miss it!
Advent Wreath Making: First Advent, Sunday, December 2 in the Gathering Room, sponsored by the Church School. All are welcome. Bring greens if you can and the Church School will supply all the necessary materials to make your Advent wreath. Come and join in the creative joy to begin the Advent season!
Church School: Saturday, December 8 – Christmas Pageant Rehearsal: 5:00 pm – Main characters; 5:30 pm – Entire cast; 6:15 pm – pizza party followed by gingerbread house making. Sunday, December 16 – Christmas Pageant costumers assigned. Monday, December, 24 – Christmas Pageant. Please sign up NOW for gingerbread house making as we need a count to order the houses. 2013 Stewardship Pledges – Through Monday, November 12, we have received 62 pledges for $125,346 and a combined increase of $8,354. Thank you! Pledge packets that were not picked up have all been mailed. If you did not receive a pledge packet, please contact the parish office or pick one up at the reception desk. Please take the time to read the material, prayerfully consider what your 2013 Stewardship Pledge will be and return your pledge card ASAP.
CHS Artist – The featured CHS artists for the month of November are the dynamic duo Janet Winter and Nancy Ranscht. Janet Winter has had a long career in art, including painting oil and watercolor landscapes and commercial work. Nancy Ranscht us an award-winning B&W photographer. Enjoy their show in the CHS gallery in the Reception Room.
Free Shop – We are now accepting clean Fall and Winter clothing. If the Free Shop is closed, donations can be left in the container outside the Free Shop door. We are open Mondays from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm and Wednesdays from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.
Galley West: Fall/Winter Hours – The shop is open Mondays from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm and on Sundays during our coffee hour from 11:15 am to 12:00 pm. The St. Martha’s Guild meets on Mondays at 10:00 am in the Fireplace Room. We are open to all and would love to see you!
