Fr. Adam’s sermon, The Life That Really is Life, from the first Sunday of Lent (the second of our snowed-out Sundays) has been posted on the parish website. There are also some printed hard copies available in the church entrances.
Easter Flower Envelopes are in the pews this weekend, March 9 and 10, and next weekend, March 16 and 17 so that you can offer flowers in memory of (or in thanksgiving for) loved ones. Please print clearly on the envelopes your name and those for whom the flowers are given. Include your donation and place your envelope in the Offertory plate. Deadline Monday March 18.

Wednesday of Holy Week – March 27
5:00 pm – Children’s Stations of the Cross
7:00 pm – Holy Eucharist (with the Washing of the Feet)
Noon to 3:00 pm – “Three Hours”
7:00 pm – The Vigil and First Eucharist of Easter
7:30 am and 10:00 am – Holy Eucharist
Adult Education – Sundays at 9:00 am. For our sessions on March 10 and 17, we will return to our reflective group study of John’s Gospel. Participants may join at any time! Adult Sunday School sessions will NOT be held on either Palm Sunday (March 24) or Easter (March 31). We will pick up Sharon Inger’s lively series on Women of the Hebrew Scriptures again in April. More detail to come.
Centering Prayer: Silent, meditative prayer will be held every Tuesday from 1:30 until 2:00 pm in St. Dunstan’s Chapel, located in the lower level of the church. All are welcome and please contact Nancy Crewdson with any questions at 650-714-1862.
Morning Prayer during Lent – We will observe Lenten shifts during Morning Prayer. Don’t miss the opportunity to add Morning Prayer to your spiritual discipline as we journey together through these 40 days. This liturgy is held every Thursday morning at 8:30 am in the side chapel.
Fridays in Lent – The Church of the Holy Spirit will offer opportunities for devotion, food, fellowship, and reflection. The Stations of the Cross devotion will be offered in church at 5:30 pm, led by a number of clergy and lay worship leaders. After Stations, a simple soup and bread supper will be offered in the parish hall at 6 pm. Signup sheets for hosting this supper will be posted in the reception room. At 6:30 pm, we will offer Jesus at the Movies, watching a thought provoking movie together. On Friday, March 22 we will offer Walking the Labrynth, led by Margaret Rappaport. As before on Lenten Fridays, people may participate in whatever portion of these that they desire.
Church School: Time to fill the eggs! Please pick up infilled eggs in the front of the fireplace in the CHS Gallery/Reception Room. Return the eggs filled with wrapped candies and small trinkets by Palm Sunday. The Church School team thanks you for making this traditional Easter Egg HUnt a wonderful event for CHS children and visitors.
Church School News: Walking the Way of the Cross & Supper – Wednesday of Holy Week, March 27 at 5:00 pm. All Church School families please list your choice of supper on the sign up sheet in the Gathering Room. We need to know your choices and number attending no later than Palm Sunday. Please note that extended families are also welcome.
Healing Prayers – Healing prayers will be offered on the fourth Sunday following the 10:00 am service. Fathers Herb Skelly and Bill Heuss will officiate with assistance from the Health Ministry.

Passover Seder at Holy Spirit – The Jewish congregation in the Nauset Region, Am HaYam Havorah, will be celebrating their Passover Seder in our Parish Hall during Holy Week on Tuesday, March 26 at 6:00 pm. This will include a pot luck meal. There is room for 40 non-Jewish guests by reservation only. If you would like to attend please call or email Fr. Ken Campbell at 508-240-5169 or email@example.com (or give him your name and address in writing). There are 20 spaces left as of March 2. No reservations will be accepted after March 20.
CHS Artist – For the month of March in the Gallery Reception Room, Father Adam has selected some of his favorite books from the CHS library — for adults and children! Just unclip the book, sit, read, and enjoy.
Free Shop – We are now gladly accepting clean spring clothing — please no more winter clothing. If the Free Shop is closed, donations can be left in the container outside the Free Shop door. We are open Mondays from 12 noon to 3:00 pm and on Wednesdays from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.
Galley West – We are open on Sundays from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon and on Mondays from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. The Guilds have started up for the new year as well! Thank you for your support.
Fair Trade: Justice for All God’s Children – We have just received three kinds of healthy chocolate and organic olive oil made by a worker-owned cooperative in Palestine. Please see our Fair Trade display in the MAIN ENTRANCE to the Parish Hall! Questions? See Fr. Ken.
