Sunday, September 1: Choir News: Today is the last Sunday for our Summer Choir. We thank all who have joined us this season. New members for all music groups are invited to join us, no auditions required! Adult Choir rehearses on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. starting September 4 in the North Transept of the Church. Bell Choir rehearses in the parish hall on Mondays at 1:30 p.m. beginning September 9. Youth Choir (Grades 3-12) rehearses on Wednesdays at 5:55 p.m. starting September 9 in the North Transept of the Church. The first rehearsal will be announced soon by Father Morris. Questions? Friday, September 6: CHS Garden Party, 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. – There will be the usual weeding, dead heading but this month we’ll have the added excitement of planting mums for fall color. Sunday, September 8: Adult Education, at 9 a.m. in the Parish Hall. In September we will pick up our work again with Dallas Willard’s Renovation of the Heart: Putting on the Character of Christ. This is a very practical series on making progress in our spiritual formation, involving viewing a short video presentation, followed by reflection and discussion. While those who wish to do so may read the indicated chapters in Willard’s book of the same title, this is in no way necessary or required for full participation in these sessions. All are welcome to this special series! September 8: “Transforming the Mind, 1: Spiritual Formation and the Thought Life.”

CHS Artist: The featured artist for the month of September is The Rev. Canon Charles Morris. At the conclusion of Father Charles’s “time” of being Assisting Rector, the Church School chil- dren presented him with a book titled The Blessing of the Animals. This book was conceived and the prayers written by Father Charles. All original illustrations, by the children, are dis- played on the Gallery display boards. Please come and enjoy the show!

Fair Trade Update: DEATH BY CHOCOLATE & LOVE BUZZ! There have been requests for a stronger roast of Fair Trade Coffee.
