Sunday, December 1: Adult Education, at 9 a.m. – Parish Hall. In December we return to and conclude our series on Dallas Willard’s Renovation of the Heart. It is not necessary to have attended the previous sessions to participate in these. We watch a short video presentation by Willard and then open things up to reflection and discussion. NOTE: We will not be holding the Sunday 9 a.m. Adult Education on either December 29 or January 5.
Sunday, December 1: We celebrate the beginning of Advent with the Giving Tree play at the 10 a.m. service, and ADVENT WREATH MAKING for the WHOLE PARISH in the Parish Hall after the 10 a.m. service. Please bring “greens” if you can – extra sets of Advent candles will be offered for sale.
Sunday, December 1: Book Discussion Group – after the 10 a.m. service in the Fireplace Room. Continuing discussion on Lauren Winner’s book Still: Notes on a Mid-Faith Crisis.
Tuesday, December 3: Pathfinders Meeting: Reminder – We have a Pathfinders meeting on Tuesday, December 3, 12:15 p.m. in the Art room, end of the hall downstairs in Parish Hall.
Thursday, December 5: Christmas Luncheon for Women of the Parish – 12 Noon, Parish Hall. Please bring a sandwich to share. Also please bring Christmas cards you have received from charities to donate to Lower Cape Outreach Council, as well as canned goods for their Food Pantry. Dilys Smith will lead us in singing Christmas carols. All women of the parish are invited – so bring a friend! Volunteers for the day are Fay Cole, Peg Skelly, Hope Fox, and Sue Stevens. Thursday, December 5: Thursdays at Three – For the first three weeks of December, an Advent series will be offered. This series: Art, Spirit, and Incarnation will include Elizabeth Pratt presenting on the spirituality of art through time. This program will be displayed in the same sacred space as last year’s Waiting with Mary series, with the large fabric screen at 3 p.m. in the north transept of the church.
Sunday, December 8: First Fruits Christmas Sale from 9 a.m. to 12 noon in the Parish Hall. Spectacular Christmas greens arrangements, gift baskets, jams and jellies, and appetizing baked goods!

Habitat Thank You: Habitat Cape Cod is saying “Thank You” this year by giving a book to our Library and Sunday School entitled: The Carpenter’s Gift, A Christmas Tale About the Rockefeller Tree, which ties together the Depression, the Tree, and Habitat in a wonderful way.
Holiday Antiques Show and Sale: I want to sincerely thank the parish for the wonderful support you have given to make the 36th Annual Holiday Antiques Show and Sale such a success! Thank you to all who were patrons of the show and to all who volunteered. The spirit that flows through each of you is such a blessing within our parish. Stewardship: 2014 Pledges – Through Monday November 25th, we have received 140 pledges including a 50% increase over 2013 and 4 new pledges. THANK YOU! If you have not sent in your 2014 pledge, please do so as soon as possible. The Finance Committee and Vestry continue to work on our 2014 budget and our pledge income is a critical element of that process. If you need a pledge card please contact the parish office.
