The Church of the Holy Spirit in Orleans is searching for a full-time parish administrator (PA). The Rector, Assistant Rector, and the PA work together and serve as the Executive Team for this strong and financially stable parish.
Reporting to the Rector of CHS, the Parish Administrator is responsible and accountable for all administrative and business-related functions of CHS.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supervision, training, and professional development of office staff.
- Participation in the office staff performance appraisal process.
- Coordination of secular events.
- Contract management and oversight of facilities maintenance.
A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college, university, or institution of higher learning is preferred. Areas of major study include Church Management and Administration, Management of Not-for-Profit Institutions, Business/Public Administration, or other relevant fields.
A proven track record in managing large, growing, and complex faith, mission-focused, or non-profit organizations, comprised of many programs and multiple internal stakeholders, is required. Prior experience as a Church/Parish Administrator in one or more Protestant churches is preferred (experience in an Episcopal parish a plus). This is NOT an entry-level church management position.
This is a full-time managerial position, which at times will require additional hours per week and occasional evening and weekend work. The PA is eligible for a full benefits package. Salary will be commensurate with previous education and experience.
