Tuesday, March 4: Shrove Tuesday pancake supper at 5:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall. Please join us for this family celebration on this special day, with pancakes and decorated Alleluias!
Church School: Church School Families please sign up to bring finger food desserts to our Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper (see above.) Wednesday, March 5: ASH WEDNESDAY – Holy Eucharist with the Imposition of Ashes will be held at 7 a.m., 10 a.m. and 7 p.m.
Thursday, March 6: Women’s Luncheon, 12 Noon in the Parish Hall. Bring a sandwich to share! Chips and ice cream sandwiches for dessert will be provided. Come and join us and bring a friend, and please continue to bring canned goods for the Food Pantry. Please call Peter Blank if you need a ride at 508-760-1516.
Thursdays at Three: We will not be holding any programs during lent, please join us for our Friday evening programs.
Friday, March 7: The World Day of Prayer, 1 p.m. at the Orleans Methodist Church. World Day of Prayer is a worldwide ecumenical movement of Christian women since 1927 to observe a day of prayer and action each year on the first Friday of March. Jean Collins and Jody Mines will represent CHS in the service.
March 7 through April 4: Fridays in Lent – Stations of the Cross will be offered at 5:30 p.m. followed by a Soup and bread supper at 6 p.m., in the Parish Hall followed by Jesus at the Movies at 7 p.m. Please come to any or all of these offerings.
Sunday, March 9: Coffee for Church School Parents, 9 a.m., in Joan McFadden’s classroom. The Pathfinders Team is providing coffee and breakfast treats for parents and kids.

Tuesday, March 11: The Justice and Peace Committee of CHS is one of the sponsors for a showing of a movie about a rescue of German Jews from the Holocaust to the Philippines executed by the then Col. Dwight Eisenhower, Paul McNutt and the President of the Philippines. Cape Cinema at 7 p.m., $10. per ticket to aid victims of the recent typhoon and earthquake.
Friday, March 14: Walking the Labyrinth 10 a.m. Parish Hall. Margaret Rappaport will facili- tate a walk on our canvas, indoor, Chartres-style Labyrinth in the Parish Hall. Our walk will be candlelit and will be accompanied by original music courtesy of Darlene Hagon. The Labyrinth is available from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Friday, March 14: Joan Chittister, a Benedictine sister and one of the most popular AND prophetic voices in contemporary Christianity, has written a powerful set of meditations on the Way of the Cross. Excerpts will be used for the Stations of the Cross service on Friday, March 14 at 5:30 PM in the Church. Come and see!
Saturday, March 15: Quiet Day in the Parish Hall. Mother Sarah and Patricia Clock (of St. Joan of Arc Church) will lead a Lenten Quiet Day, starting around 9 a.m. in the Parish Hall, and running through 2 to 3 p.m.. More details to come!
Wednesday, March 19: Men’s Lunch Group, 12:30 p.m. in the Fireplace Room. This group meets every third Wednesday. Members bring their own lunch while snacks and coffee are provided. For inquiries call Bruce Lederhouse, 508-801-0654) or Brian Skea, 774-279-3454.
CHS Artist: The featured artist for the month of March is FOOD FOR KIDS coordinated by Ruth Campbell. The display will be an educational and informational experience for everyone in our parish and those who visit us during March. The display will also include opportunities for all ages to sign up to help at any time during our 8 weeks of operation, June 30-August 22, 2014. Galley West Gift Shop: The Gift Shop will be open Sundays 11 a.m. to 12 Noon, and Mondays from 10 a.m. to 12 Noon.
