Tuesday, March 25: Feast of the Annunciation: We will share a simply spoken Holy Eucharist at 7 p.m. in the side chapel of the church for this special feast. Please join us!
Saturday, March 29: RESCHEDULED: A Lenten Quiet Day: Called into Sacred Silence at 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Parish Hall. Patricia Clock, M.Div, and Spiritual Director, from Our Lady of the Cape Church, will lead us in a Lenten Quiet Day, assisted by Mother Sarah. We will gather at 9:30 a.m. in the Parish Hall. Please bring a bag lunch. The Labyrinth will be available all day.
Sunday, March 30: Presentation of He is Going on a Journey – at 10 a.m. This is a short play by children in the Church School, directed by Ruth Campbell. Children attend church with their families and go to class after the play.
TIME TO FILL THE EGGS! Empty plastic eggs can be picked up by the fireplace in the CHS Gallery/Reception Room. Eggs can be filled with WRAPPED candies (please, NO peanuts or peanut butter), small trinkets and returned to the same place. Thank you for making this annual & traditional Easter Egg Hunt so wonderful for our CHS children & visitors!
Thursdays at Three: We will not be holding any programs during Lent, please join us for our Friday evening programs.
Fridays in Lent: Stations of the Cross will be offered at 5:30 p.m. followed by a Soup and Bread Supper at 6 p.m., in the Parish Hall followed by Jesus at the Movies at 7 p.m. Please come to any or all of these offerings. Sign up sheets are posted in the Reception Room.
PASSOVER SEDER: Once again the Am HaYam Havurah Jewish congregation on the lower/ outer Cape will celebrate their Passover Seder at Holy Spirit on Tuesday of Holy Week, April 15. Wednesday, April 16: CHURCH SCHOOL FAMILIES & their extended families – make your supper choice for WALKING THE WAY OF THE CROSS & SUPPER at 5 p.m. on Holy Wednesday, April 16. Sign up poster is on Youth bulletin board in the Gathering Room. The service begins at 5 p.m. (NOT 5:30) in the church.
CHS Artist: The featured artist for the month of March is FOOD FOR KIDS coordinated by Ruth Campbell. The display will be an educational and informational experience for everyone in our parish and those who visit us during March. The display will also include opportunities for all ages to sign up to help at any time during our 8 weeks of operation, June 30 to August 22, 2014. Free Shop: Hours – Monday, 12 Noon to 3 p.m. and Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Free Shop is now accepting SPRING clothing – please no more WINTER! Donations can be dropped off any time the Parish Hall is open. If the shop is closed – there is a container outside the Free Shop door for your donations to this vital CHS Ministry. Galley West Gift Shop: The Gift Shop will be open Sundays 11 a.m. to 12 Noon, Mondays from 10 a.m. to 12 Noon and Wednesday’s from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Grocery Gift Cards: For Stop & Shop, Shaws, and Friends Market will be on sale in the Parish Hall after the 10 a.m. service. By purchasing these cards, you will get the full value for your groceries and the store will donate 5% to Homeless Prevention. Please consider this worthwhile cause.
Contemplative/Centering Prayer: Silent, meditative prayer will be held every Tuesday at 12 noon and on Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. in St. Dunstan’s Chapel, located in the lower level of the church. All are welcome.
