Easter ContinuesSunday, May 11: Adult Education at 9 a.m. – Parish Hall – Through May 25; “Texts of the Resurrection”, Sunday mornings during the Great 50 Days of Easter, we will be taking a close look at the Resurrection Narratives including the Synoptic Gospels, Acts and 1 Corinthians.

Sunday, May 11: Book Discussion Group – after the 10 a.m. service in the Fireplace Room. In anticipation of Bishop Griswold’s visit on June 14 and 15, the book group will be reading his book Going Home, an Invitation to Jubilee. All are welcome to participate.

Sunday, May 11: Grocery Gift Cards: For Stop & Shop, Shaws, Friends Market and NEW cards – CVS and Phoenix Fruit. These cards will be on sale TODAY in the Parish Hall after the 10 a.m. service. By purchasing these cards, you will get the full value for your groceries and the stores will donate 5% to Homeless Prevention. Please consider this worthwhile cause.

Tuesday, May 13: CHS will be hosting a Blood Drive for the American Red Cross from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Please support this wonderful cause!

Thursday, May 15: Thursdays at Three – Wisdom Literature at 3 p.m. in the Parish Hall. Sharon Inger will lead a 4-week study of The Wisdom Books: A Study of Proverbs, Ecclesiastes and job.

Sunday May 18: Shepherd Groups – Eastham/Wellfleet Group: Will meet for a pot-luck supper at 5 p.m. at Libby Pratt’s home, 180 Mill Rd, Eastham. Orleans Group: Will meet at 5 p.m. in the home of Bev and Wes Dreher, 15 Prides Path, Orleans, MA.

Bluegrass and Folk Concert: Toast & Jam is coming back! Monday, June 2, 2014 In the Parish Hall, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p. m. Bring your own beverages, snacks and friends (Beer, wine or soft drinks) $15 donation per person. Tickets will be for sale in May at Sunday coffee hours. Going to the Son: High School Class Retreat July 8-July 15 to Glacier National Park, Montana. You will be seeing a lot of fundraising activities in the coming weeks. SUNDAY – during the Coffee Hour, our High School Sunday School Class will be hosting a bake sale and will be selling raffling tickets for a Planter filled with gardening tool, seeds, soil and one hour of work from the kids who will be going on this retreat. Please support our kids in these worthwhile endeavors.

Summer Fair: Save the Date – Saturday, July 26, 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. We need your ideas and help! There will be sign up sheets in the Parish Hall for volunteers. Now is the time to start saving paper back books (no hard covers, please) summer toys, games, bikes, sports equipment, beach stuff. Church drop-offs will begin in June! Questions? Tuesday, May 27: Justice & Peace Film – Fr. Ken will show “Martin Luther King in Palestine,” on Tuesday, May 27 at 9:30 a.m. in the Library. Please call Fr. Ken if you want to attend this film as space is limited.

Friday, May 30: We are all Misfits – The Sharing the Blessing Committee will host a community event featuring author, James Howe. Mr. Howe has written more than eighty books in the thirty-plus years he’s been writing for young readers. The event starts at 5:30 p.m. in the Par- ish Hall, followed by a pizza dinner at 6 p.m. and a talk and discussion from 6:30 to 7:30 pm.

Planned Giving: “Procrastination” – We all know that word! Members of the Planned Giving Committee have information to help you to take the next step in your planning process. Start- ing a “Family Legacy Plan” and or selecting a “Charitable Gift Annuity” are two options avail- able. The information is available at the Parish Hall Display Table or at the Church Web Site: Planned Giving.

CHS Artist: The featured artist for the month of May is Kathy Fitch. Kathy uses water based oils to create paintings with an “Impressionistic” flare. Enjoy Kathy’s show! Plans have begun for the CHS summer fair on Saturday, July 26th. Not too early to begin planning to be a “vendor” and/or donate one of your “creations” to the CHS ARTISTS SHOW. Contemplative/Centering Prayer: Silent, meditative prayer will be held every Tuesday at 12 noon and on Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. in St. Dunstan’s Chapel, located in the lower level of the church. Fair Trade Update: Thanks to all for your patronage! We now have six types of chocolate (including eggs) six types of coffee (including a strong French Roast), as well as fabulous mar- malade, strawberry jam and honey, all organic! See Fr. Ken if you have any requests for prod- ucts!

Free Shop: Hours – Monday, 12 Noon to 3 p.m. and Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Free Shop is now accepting SPRING clothing. Donations can be dropped off any time the Parish Hall is open. If the shop is closed – there is a container outside the Free Shop door for your dona- tions to this vital CHS Ministry. Sharyn Laughton: 508-255-7277.

Galley West Gift Shop: We will be open Sundays 11 a.m. to 12 Noon and Mondays from 10 a.m. to 12 Noon. Please come and support this valuable ministry at CHS.
