Acolytes: Every Sunday at 10 a.m. our priests, their assistants and the CHS choir enter the church to start our main service of the week. But did you ever notice they are led to the altar by our own young people? These are our Acolytes, and now we have an opportunity for your students (grade 3 to 12) to join them. It’s a chance to serve this parish and God at the altar. Please contact Mary Anne Bragdon at sparky508@earthlink.net or 508-896-3481

Sunday, October 26: Adult Sunday School, 9 a.m., Parish Hall – Now through November 2 – “Beginning with Barth (Again)” We pick up again with the good Doctor Karl, as he works his way incrementally through the Apostles’ Creed. No homework required – but those who wish to read beforehand may do so. Jump right in with us; the water’s fine!

Sunday, October 26: Book Discussion Group – after the 10 a.m. service in the Fireplace Room. We are reading Amy Jill Levine’s Short Stories by Jesus, an exploration of the parables from the perspective of the people who heard them first hand. All are welcome.

Thursday, October 30: Thursdays at Three – This series of four will be a set of reflections with Father Adam on key areas of our common faith life. Each session will begin with a short presentation of his and will then open up to broader group conversation. The point will not be to debate, but to share—from our core—as Rector and parish, different ways that we connect in our life together.

Wednesday, November 5: Justice & Peace: INTERFAITH BOOK STUDY at 10 a.m. in the Library.  Fr. Ken Campbell and his colleagues, Dr. Abdul Raoof, expert on Middle East culture and politics and Dr. Sharon Leder, expert on Judaism and women’s studies will lead a 6 session study of Embracing Israel/Palestine: A strategy to Heal and Transform the Middle East, by Rabbi Michael Lerner.
