Don’t Forget. . . SPRING FORWARD!  It’s Daylight Savings Time, so set your clock ahead on Saturday/Sunday night (March 7/8th).

Saturday, March 7: Our Communion Preparation classes began this morning with sharing a family meal. We will continue through the next three Saturdays, meeting at 10 a.m. in the church. We will conclude on Sunday, April 12 – in the church – with a rehearsal at 9:45 a.m. and our Presentation of the Communion Class at the 10 a.m. service.

Sunday, March 8: Adult Education – 9 a.m. in the Parish Hall – We will be continuing the reflective group bible study of John’s Gospel. You can join anytime! Adult Sunday School will not be meeting on either March 29 or April 5.

Sunday, March 8: Book Discussion Group – after the 10 a.m. service in the Fireplace Room. The book discussion, which takes place after the ten o’clock service in the fireplace room, will begin reading Dallas Willard’s masterpiece, The Renovation of the Heart. All are welcome to join.

Thursday, March 12: Labyrinth walk for children at 5:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall. Grades 3 through 12, parents and families welcome.

Friday, March 13: Walking the Labyrinth at 10 a.m. in the Parish Hall. Candle-lit and accompanied by music. Banners with the Stations of the Cross will be present during the guided walk. Individual walks from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. and from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the Parish Hall.

Friday, March 13: Walking the Labyrinth at 5:30 pm.  This Lent Experience –
A Special Evening Walking with God. 
Our second Labyrinth Walk with Eucharist this liturgical year will be on Friday, March 13 at 5:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall. In addition to soft candlelight and sacred music, banners with the Stations of the Cross will be arrayed creatively around the labyrinth, providing an appropriate setting for our silent conversations with God. Each participant will be offered a small olive-wood Caring Cross, sized and shaped to fit easily into your hand and take on your journey. Finger labyrinths will also be available. The meditative evening will continue as we gather at God’s table to share in a simple Eucharist. The evening will conclude with a light soup dinner. Tuesday, March 17: RED CROSS BLOOD DRIVE – The Red Cross will be in the Parish Hall doing a blood drive from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Wednesday, March 18: MEN’S LUNCHEON – Meet the group from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm in the Fireplace Room. For interested inquires call Bruce Lederhouse at 508-801-0654 or Brian Skea at 774-279-3454.

SUNDAY GREETERS WANTED: No experience necessary except a smile! Opportunities at all entrances before the 10 a.m. service – main entrance, north and west transepts! Serve only one Sunday a month. Please contact Nancy Munson, 508-255-4091 or

Friday, March 20: 5 p.m. Lenten Service of Light, 5:30 p.m. Soup and bread supper, 6 p.m. panel conversation on “Politics and Religion,” participants: Adam Linton, Ken Campbell and Anne Koehler followed by questions and discussion. Sunday, March 29: 3 p.m. in the Parish Hall. Please SAVE THE DATE for the wonderful We Are The Men Benefit Concert! We Are The Men is a singing group you won’t want to miss. They are helping to raise money for Habitat for Humanity, a helpful housing charity that is supported by CHS . Come for music, food, wine; have a good time while supporting a great cause.

CHS Artist: The featured CHS artist for the month of March is FOOD FOR KIDS. The exhibit is displayed by Ruth Campbell – director of Food for Kids. Come to see pictures and news about our Child Nutrition Outreach program at Church of the Holy Spirt. Please call or email Ruth Campbell with any questions or 413-537-9200 (cell). Children Activity Bags: Are available for loan to keep our children “busy” during the Service.  Please feel free to take advantage of them.

COFFEE HOUR HOSTS: Just a reminder; you can sign up for hosting coffee hour in the Parish Hall. We need new participants! Beverages are provided. You just need to bring something to go with them! Thank you, Michele Puzo

Free Shop: Thank you for your continued support & donations to the Free Shop. The shop is still accepting warm clothing. All donations can be dropped off any day the Parish Hall is open. If the shop is closed there is a container outside the door. The shop is open Mondays 12 noon to 3 p.m. and Wednesdays 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Questions? Please call Sharyn Laughton at 508-255-7277or

Calling All CHS Crafters and Hobbyists: Would you like to show your craft or hobby in the CHS Gallery/Reception Room, during the month of April? Please call Jan Roberts @ 508-255-6281

TIME TO FILL THE EGGS:  Empty plastic eggs can be picked up by the fireplace in the CHS Gallery/Reception Room. Eggs can be filled with WRAPPED candies (please, NO peanuts or peanut butter), small trinkets and returned to the same place. Thank you for making this annual & traditional Easter Egg Hunt so wonderful for our CHS children & visitors!
