Sunday, May 10: The Cape Community Orchestra, John P. Hagon, conductor will present a concert in the Parish Hall at 3 p.m. Admission is free. Donations will be accepted. The program will include music by Liszt, Puccini, Mendelssohn, Gottschalk, and selections from “Porgy and Bess” by Gershwin. The orchestra is currently in its 25th season and there will be a special anniversary performance celebration.
Tuesday, May 12: Red Cross Blood Drive from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Parish Hall. The Red Cross sends a special THANK YOU to CHS for hosting their most recent blood drive in March. They obtained over 30 pints of blood. Each pint can save up to 3 lives, so we are helping over 90 people. Please come and support a wonderful, lifesaving cause!
Friday, May 15: Garden Party – 9 a.m. to noon. Spring garden clean up. Weeding, raking, fertilizing, trimming. All are invited, no experience necessary! Come for the whole time or for only a few minutes. Bring your tools or use ours. Coffee, Hole in One donut holes and cold drinks are provided. Meet us in the north parking lot behind the offices. Galley West Gift Shop: SUMMER HOURS – Starting June 14 – Sundays from 11 a.m. to 12 Noon; Mondays through Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 12 Noon. FOOD PANTRY: Just a reminder: There are two food-collection chests in the church—one in the reception room and the other in the entrance to the Parish Hall – for donation of nonperishable food for the benefit of clients of the Lower Cape Outreach Council. This food is distributed to some 1, 900 needy beneficiaries through the council’s eight food pantries on the Lower Cape. Your food donation will be much appreciated. Thank you!
