Fruits and vegetablesSUMMER CHURCH SCHOOL: Veggie Tales Theatre: 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Ages 4 and above. Parish Hall Downstairs across from Nursery. Children will join families for the Eucharist following Veggie Tales Theatre. Nursery Care for 3 and under is available every Sunday from 9:30-11:30 a.m. across the Hall from Veggie Tales Theatre!

Sunday, July 19: MEETING HOUSE CHAMBER MUSIC FESTIVAL – In the Parish Hall at 7:30 p.m. for a concert with the Meeting House Festival Concerts. For information and tickets call 508-896-3344 or go to the website: http://www.meeting One more date in July: 7/27.

Tuesday, July 21: RED CROSS BLOOD DRIVE – The last blood drive was a success with 31 units of blood collected which translates into nearly 100 lives improved or saved. The Red Cross ex-tends a big “thank you” to CHS for both the use of the Parish Hall and to CHS blood donors. You are making a difference!

Sunday, August 2: Please attend the YOUTH BRUNCH in the Parish Hall just after the Sunday 10 a.m. service! Every first Sunday of the month the Youth Group hosts a brunch. Come August 2 and join the fun!

Friday, August 7: GARDEN PARTY – Please plan to join us for the August Garden Party, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. We’ll be doing mid-summer maintenance. All are invited, no experience necessary! Coffee, Hole in One donut holes and cold drinks are provided. Meet us in the north parking lot behind the offices. Questions? Call Gilbert Merritt 508-360-1125.

ROOM FOR A MONTH: Would anyone be willing to provide a room at a low rental for the
month of August for a middle aged woman? Please call Fr. Ken if you might be able to help, at 413-478-5719. Thank you.

LOWER CAPE OUTREACH COUNCIL COLLECTION CHESTS:  Just a reminder: There are two food collection chests in the church; one in the reception room and the other in the entrance to the Parish Hall for donations of nonperishable food for the benefit of clients of the Lower Cape Outreach Council. This food is distributed to some 1,900 needy beneficiaries through the council’s eight food pantries on the Lower Cape. Your food donation will be much appreciated. Thank you!

SUMMER FAIR THANK YOU:  It was a wonderful day for the Summer Fair. The participation of many enthusiastic volunteers helped make the Fair a success. Thank you ALL for your support. Happy Summer! Co-chairs Marcia Bechtold and Dianne Fromm

CHS ARTIST: The featured CHS artist for the month of July is Eiric MacKenzie. A new exhibit by another member of the creative MacKenzie family! Eiric will be exhibiting pastels, sketches and collages. Questions? Contact Sharyn Laughton – – 508 255 7277.

CHILDREN’S ACTIVITY BAGS: Are available at every entrance for loan to keep our children “busy” during the service. Please feel free to take advantage of them.

COFFEE HOUR HOSTS: Just a reminder; you can sign up for hosting coffee hour in the Parish Hall. We need new participants! Beverages are provided. You just need to bring something to go with them! Thank you, Michele Puzo.

FOOD 4 KIDS: Please sign up (all ages welcome) to help; making sandwiches, packing meals or driving to sites! Sign up poster in Parish Hall or call Ruth Campbell 1-413-537-9200.

FREE SHOP: The shop is open Mondays 12 noon to 3 p.m. and Wednesdays 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Every summer, faithful volunteers and members of the parish are asked to sign up to work during the summer months . GALLEY WEST GIFT SHOP: SUMMER HOURS – Sundays from 11 a.m. to 12 Noon; Mondays through Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 12 Noon. For these ex-tended hours during the summer, we NEED volunteers. Please consider offering your help. Please call Susan Owens at 508-240-1788.

NURSERY CAREGIVERS—HELP WANTED: We are searching for two Nursery Caregivers. These are Paid Positions beginning August 3 and continuing every Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. You must be 18 years old or older. PRAYER SHAWL MINISTRY: Prayer shawls are knitted by parishioners, blessed and given to help our friends who are ill, recovering, bereaved or distressed. Should you know of such a need, please phone the church office or Helen Richardson at 508-255-0065.

SUNDAY GREETERS WANTED: No experience necessary except a smile! Opportunities at all entrances before the 10 a.m. service – main entrance, north and west transepts! Serve only one Sunday a month. Please contact Nancy Munson, 508-255-4091 or

SUMMER CHOIR: Our tradition at CHS is to provide a Summer Choir for the 10 a.m. service each week (June 28 – Sept. 6). Singers – all voice ranges – are invited to come any Sunday for a rehearsal in the Church at 9 a.m. prior to the 10 a.m. service. Since this is the only weekly rehearsal available during the Summer, we ask those who wish to participate on Sundays to be present for this important rehearsal at 9 a.m. Vestments are not worn. Please come and join the choir any Sunday and bring your relatives and friends. All are welcome. Darlene Hagon
