Sunday, September 27: ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL – Parish Hall, 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. Adult Sunday School sessions resume. We’ll be taking on the Epistle of Paul to the Romans. The format for our sessions will be similar to what we used for John’s Gospel. We read a short portion together, and then launch in with our questions and insights, learning from one an-other. Wednesday, September 30: THE REVELATIONS AND THEOLOGY OF A MEDIEVAL MYSTIC, JULIAN OF NORWICH – Father Adam will lead us through a study series focused on Julian of Norwich’s Revelations of Divine Love. These sessions, in the Parish Hall, will begin with a simple supper at 5:15 p.m. followed by a short introductory presentation and small group discussion. We will end by 6:45 p.m. Participants are urged to buy and read the specific translation Revelations of Divine Love, Julian of Norwich, Elizabeth Spearing, translator, Penguin Classics (1999), ISBN-13: 978-0140446739, before the sessions begin. Saturday, October 3 and Sunday, October 4: 2nd Annual CAPE COD RAGTIME FESTIVAL: Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 5 p.m. at the Church of the Holy Spirit. $25./person/event or $40./ person for both events.

Friday, October 9: Garden Party – 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. We’ll be doing maintenance, weeding and mulching. All are invited, no experience necessary! Come for the whole time or for only a few minutes. Bring your tools or use ours. Coffee, Hole in One donut holes and cold drinks are provided. Meet us in the north parking lot behind the offices.
RUMMAGE SALE: Our annual Rummage Sale will be held on Friday, October 16 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday, October 17 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. Fall cleaning? Now is the time to set aside your much needed donations for our very popular sale. Check the sign-up posters in the Parish Hall and the Reception Room. We are in need of volunteers who are “out and about” in our communities who would be willing to distribute flyers and posters to businesses, motels and B & B’s. CHS ARTIST: The featured CHS artist for the month of September is Natalie Tudor. Through her art, she has turned the chaos and hard times in life into beautiful pieces that are very colorful. The medium is acrylic on canvas. The mosaic bowl that is displayed on the window sill is made of glass. Natalie is a new member of CHS and a volunteer/Site Manager at Food For Kids. Questions? MUSIC NEWS: New members for all music groups are invited to join us. Adult Choir rehearsals are on Wednesdays 7 to 8:30 p.m., in the North Transept of the Church. Sunday warm-up rehearsal is at 9 a.m. in the church prior to the 10 a.m. Service. The Bell Choir rehearsals are in the Parish Hall on Monday afternoons beginning September 14, 1:30 to 3:00 pm.
