Saturday, October 10: A benefit concert for LGBT and other youth who are homeless on the lower/outer Cape. St. Peter’s Lutheran Church at 7 p.m. Suggested donation: $10. Sunday, October 11: ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL – Parish Hall, 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. Adult Sunday School sessions continue. We’ll be taking on the Epistle of Paul to the Romans. The format for our sessions will be similar to what we used for John’s Gospel. We read a short portion together and then launch in with our questions and insights, learning from one another. Please come!
Sunday, October 11: HEART & HOME CABARET CONCERT – Join the fun for the second annual Heart and Home Cabaret, a fundraiser for Habitat for Humanity of Cape Cod, hosted by David Roth. The concert begins at 4 p.m. followed by a homemade Spaghetti supper beginning at approximately 5:30 p.m. Gluten free/vegetarian options available. Tickets are $25. Seating is limited, please reserve your ticket by calling Bri at (508)-362-3559 x12. Tickets will be mailed.
Friday, October 16 and Saturday, October 17: RUMMAGE SALE: Our annual Rummage Sale will be held on Friday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. The big week is here! We will begin collecting your donations on Tuesday and throughout the week until noon on Friday. Your HELP is needed! If you have not committed to days and times, please check the schedule posted and join us. Many helping hands and vehicles (trucks, vans and trailers) are needed at noon on Saturday to clear out the leftovers and distribute them to various locations. Your help will be greatly appreciated. Sunday, October 18: CHILDREN’S SABBATH CELEBRATION at 10 a.m. service. A Sunday to lift up children everywhere and celebrate Holy Spirit’s many gifts toward lifting children out of poverty on Cape Cod. A brown bag lunch, like the children receive all summer (Italian Subs) for EVERYONE following the service in the Parish Hall with a video (3 minutes) about F4K, created by HaiDi Pye.

Friday October 23: LABYRINTH WALK at 10 a.m. in the Parish Hall. The Labyrinth is a spiritual walking exercise that quiets the mind, opens the heart and centers the body to encourage meditation. Margaret Rappaport facilitates a walk on our indoor canvas Chartres-style Labyrinth. Theme: Focusing Our Attention. This walk is candle-lit and is accompanied by music courtesy of Darlene Hagon. It is available for individual walks from 12 p.m.- 2 p.m. in the Parish Hall.
Thursday, October 29: AN EVENING WITH DICK LEHR – at 6:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall.
Author of The Birth of A Nation and Professor of Journalism at Boston University, Professor Lehr will discuss and show clips of this classic film and it’s profound influence on today’s racial attitudes. CHS ARTIST: The art of our Church School children will be featured in the CHS gallery for the month of October – coordinating and corresponding with Children’s Sabbath on October 18. NAME-TAG NOTES. We have reorganized the name-tag board in Parish Hall and we need your help to maintain it in alphabetical order. When you go to the coffee hour after the 10 a.m. service please do two things:
– Find and put you name tag on so we know who your are and
– Return it to the same place when you leave!!!!
And if your name tag isn’t on the board do two things:
– Look in your bag, glove compartment, pocket or kitchen desk for it
and bring it back or
– Notify Susan Owens, name-tag creator, at 508-240-1788 or email@example.com and she will
