Sunday, October 18: ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL – Parish Hall, 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. Adult Sunday School sessions continue. We’ll be taking on the Epistle of Paul to the Romans. The format for our sessions will be similar to what we used for John’s Gospel. We read a short portion together and then launch in with our questions and insights, learning from one another. Please come!
Sunday, October 18: CHILDREN’S SABBATH CELEBRATION at 10 a.m. service. A Sunday to lift up children everywhere and celebrate Holy Spirit’s many gifts toward lifting children out of poverty on Cape Cod. A brown bag lunch, like the children receive all summer (Italian Subs) for EVERYONE following the service in the Parish Hall with a video (3 minutes) about F4K, created by HaiDi Pye.

Wednesday, October 21: MEN’S LUNCH at 12:30 p.m. in the Fireplace Room. Bring your own bag lunch. Coffee and snacks are provided by our donations. All men in the parish are welcome. Friday October 23: LABYRINTH WALK at 10 a.m. in the Parish Hall. The Labyrinth is a spiritual walking exercise that quiets the mind, opens the heart and centers the body to encourage meditation. Margaret Rappaport facilitates a walk on our indoor canvas Chartres-style Labyrinth. Theme: Focusing Our Attention. This walk is candle-lit and is accompanied by music courtesy of Darlene Hagon.
Thursday, October 29: AN EVENING WITH DICK LEHR – at 6:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall. Author of The Birth of A Nation and Professor of Journalism at Boston University, Professor Lehr will discuss and show clips of this classic film and it’s profound influence on today’s racial attitudes. Some 50 honor students from Nauset Regional will attend and provide refreshments! Pre-registration requested with Pastor Wesley Williams (email@example.com) or Fr. Vestry Nominating Committee: This committee has been appointed by the vestry and convened by Fr. Adam. Their charge is to present a slate of nominees at the annual meeting in January for warden, clerk, treasurer, four 2-year members of the Vestry and our delegates and alternate to represent CHS at Convention and Deanery Assembly. Invited to the Table: Cape Cod Children’s Place, Cape Cod Commission and Cape Cod Young Professionals. Convened by The Network of Human Services and Faith Communities of the Lower/Outer Cape.
CHS ARTIST: The art of our Church School children will be featured in the CHS gallery for the month of October – coordinating and corresponding with Children’s Sabbath on October 18. NAME-TAG NOTES: We have re-organized the nametag board in Parish Hall and we need your help to maintain it in alphabetical order. When you go to the coffee hour after the 10 a.m. service please do two things:
– Find and put you name tag on so we know who your are and
– Return it to the same place when you leave!!!!
And if your name-tag isn’t on the board do two things:
– Look in your bag, glove compartment, pocket or kitchen desk for it and bring it back or
