SUMMER SUNDAY VEGGIE TALE THEATER – June 26 through September 4 – Under the Parish Hall & across from the Nursery from 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. – then children join their family in church. All ages will enjoy! Nursery care available for infants & toddlers – 4 years and younger! July 3: Noah’s Ark, a lesson in trusting God. July 10: A Snoodle’s Tale, a lesson in self worth. July 17: Larry Boy and the Bad Apple, a lesson in fighting temptation. July 24: King George and the Ducky, a lesson in selfishness. July 31: Merry Larry and the True Light of Christmas.
Sunday, June 26: BOOK DISCUSSION GROUP – after the 10 a.m. service, in the Fireplace Room.
We will finish When Breath Becomes Air (p166 to end, plus Epilogue) in our last meeting be-fore the summer break: July and August. Brian and Brooke Skea
Monday, June 27: FOOD FOR KIDS begins! On Sunday, June 26 after the 10 a.m. service we welcome all to the Gathering Room to clean coolers. Pizza and Juice for everyone!
Sunday, July 3: YOUTH BRUNCH – Please attend the Youth Brunch in the Parish Hall just after the Sunday 10 a.m. service. Every first Sunday of the month the Youth Group hosts a brunch. Come July 3rd and join the fun!
Please Note: June McDonald’s funeral service will be celebrated on Saturday, July 9 at 2 p.m.
Wednesday, July 20: MEN’S LUNCH – We will meet the third Wednesday of the month at 12 noon in the Fireplace Room. Bring your own bag lunch. Coffee and snacks are provided by our donations. All men in the parish are welcome. Please feel free to bring a friend! Questions? Brian Skea 774-279-3454.
SUMMER CHOIR: Our tradition at CHS is to provide a Summer Choir for the 10 a.m. service each week (June 5 – Sept. 4). Singers – all voice ranges – are invited to come any Sunday for a rehearsal in the Church at 9 a.m. Since this is the only weekly rehearsal during the Summer, we ask those who wish to participate on Sundays to be present for this important rehearsal at 9 a.m. Vestments are not worn. Please come and join the choir any Sunday and bring your relatives and friends. All are welcome. Darlene Hagon
CHS ARTIST: The featured CHS artist for the month of June is Pia MacKenzie. Pia’s new work is always a surprise – always a joy and delight to the heart & eyes. The remaining months in 2016 have been reserved. Thank you to all who have signed up to exhibit/sell their art in the CHS gallery. CHILDREN’S ACTIVITY BAGS: Are available at every entrance for loan to keep our children “busy” during the service. Please feel free to take advantage of them.
LEMONADE ON THE LAWN: For the months of July and August we will be serving lemonade and cookies after the 10 a.m. service. Please sign up on the posted sheet in the Parish Hall to bring cookies. The lemonade is provided. We hope you will all enjoy this new and delicious change for the summer!

FREE SHOP: The Free Shop is gladly accepting SUMMER clothing. Open on Mondays: 12 Noon to 3 p.m. and Wednesdays: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Your donations can be dropped off any time the Parish Hall is open. ST. MARTHA’S WOMEN’S GUILD: Is in need of metal coffee cans with tops. Please drop them off at the office between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. It’s POP TOP time again! Please leave them on the window sill in the Kitchen.
Rabbi Lerner CDs. Many of you enjoyed the visit by Rabbi Lerner on May 22 and asked if there was a recording of his talk. We did make a recording in CD form. Each CD is $8.75 made out to Church of the Holy Spirit. They are being sold on a first come first served basis. Please contact Amanda in the Office.
