Sunday, October 16: CHURCH SCHOOL NEWS – We celebrate Father Adam and Lori’s return from Sabbatical with a special 10 am service for all children and youth (no classes). Children will attend church with their families. The children will sing in church too!

Friday, October 21: Please save the date! Church Of The Holy Spirit LABYRINTH WALK at 10 am in the Parish Hall. A guided walk True Joy of the Spiritual Life by Dr. Margaret Rappaport, Veriditas-certified Labyrinth facilitator, with selected meditative music of Argentine and Brazilian composers provided by Darlene T. Hagon, Director of Music, and a brief theological reflection offered by The Rev Anne Koehler. All are welcome! The labyrinth is available for individual walks from 12 pm to 2 pm.
ANGELICA SERIES: Controversies at the Frontier Of Ethics, Medicine and Culture, On Saturday, October 22 at 2 pm in the Parish Hall, we will hear the second of four outstanding talks by some of our nation’s leading thinkers in the field of ethics. The speaker is David H Smith, who has had a distinguished career in Religious Studies and Bioethics at Indiana University and Yale. He ran the Poynter Center at IU for over twenty years and was the founder of the Association for Practical and Professional Ethics. His talk is entitled: Wonder, Love, Praise and Decisions at the End of Life. Suggested donation $20, as able. Nominating Committee: The Vestry has formed the Nominating Committee and given it its charge in preparation for the Church of the Holy Spirit’s next Annual Meeting, January 2017. Appointed to the Committee were Joan Kirkby, Sandy Marshall, Gilbert Merritt and Anne Moronta. Also appointed to the Committee was outgoing Vestry Member, Warden Rick Paris. At the Annual Meeting, the parish will elect one Warden for a two year term, a Treasurer and a Clerk, each for a one year term, and four Vestry-at-large members, each for a two year term. Anyone interested in making suggestions for the open 2017 positions is encouraged to contact a Nominating Committee member.
