Sunday, January 1: Ruth Campbell will be running a Veggie Tale video: The Christmas Star for all ages, in the Creation Room across from the Nursery. NURSERY CARE is provided during the 10 am service.

Thursday, January 5: LADIES LUNCHEON is January 5. Committee members for this month are: Sandy Marshall, dessert; Ragnhild Bjerke, centerpieces; Barbara Barrett, a lemon and 1/2 and 1/2; Georgia Schneider, paper goods; Susan Owens, chips. Bring a sandwich to share and join by 12 Noon. Remember to put it on your 2017 calendar for the first Thursday of each month. Sunday, January 8: EPIPHANY TROPE – During the 10 am service. Children attend church with their families, bring unwrapped toys – gifts to the Christ Child. After Trope children go to the Library for a story read by Bernie Hutchens – treats and games!

HEALTH MINISTRIES COMMITTEE: Our new “Health Ministry Survey” is included as a separate insert in this month’s Together. Please take the time to complete the survey during January. Completed surveys should be placed in the “Survey Boxes” at each entrance or mailed back to the church to the Attention: Health Ministries. We need your opinions and thoughts as to how we may best serve the health needs of CHS. Your responses will be kept confidential but will help guide our ministry programs for the future.
Friday, January 13: LABYRINTH WALK – 10 am in the Parish Hall. This is the first of our 2017 guided labyrinth walks on the second Friday of every month. The meditation theme offered this month by Dr. Margaret Rappaport, Veriditas-certified labyrinth facilitator, is “Grace”.
Darlene, T. Hagon, Director of Music presents Epiphany music selected to enrich the theme. Rev. Anne Koehler shares a theological reflection to connect us to the deeper meaning of our walk experience.

CHS ARTIST: The December 2016 Crèche display will remain in the CHS Gallery until mid-January 2017. Enjoy this wonderful exhibit by Cynthia Murray and numerous contributing parishioners and enjoy the stories linked to each beautiful Crèche! Many months are still open. FREE SHOP: The Free Shop is gladly and gratefully accepting WINTER clothing & CHRISTMAS decorations. Open on Mondays: 12 Noon to 3 pm and Wednesdays: 10 am to 1 pm. GALLEY WEST GIFT SHOP: We are open on Sundays from 11 am to 12 Noon.
GROCERY CARDS: After church at the coffee hour we sell Grocery Cards which may be used at Stop and Shop, Shaw’s, Friend’s and Phoenix Fruit. The buyer receives full value of the card and the store donates 5% to the Homeless Prevention Council. The need is great here on the Lower Cape and by purchasing the grocery cards you will be helping those less fortunate.

WELCOMING PATHS COMMITTEE: The Welcoming Paths Committee is asking parishioners to notice new people at a service, invite them to coffee hour, and to invite people who have recently joined our congregation to join a committee and a Shepherd Group.
