HEALTH MINISTRIES COMMITTEE – Our new “Health Ministry Survey” is included as a separate insert in this month’s Together. Please take the time to complete the survey during January. Completed surveys should be placed in the red “Survey Boxes” at each entrance or mailed back to the church, Attention: Health Ministries. We need your opinions and thoughts as to how we may best serve the health needs of CHS. Your responses will be kept confidential, but will help guide our ministry programs for the future.
Wednesday, February 1: DEADLINE for cleaning out our Parish Hall storage area! Our Sexton Wayne, with the support of the Buildings and Grounds Committee, says it’s time to clean out the storage area in the lower level of the Parish Hall of the Free Shop. Reducing unnecessary/ unused stored items will help us and more space for essentials. ALL items remaining on the shelves MUST BE CLEARLY LABELED AS FOLLOWS: Your Group Name or Activity – ACTIVE 2017. Any items ON THE SHELVES THAT ARE NOT labeled will be removed IN FEBRUARY.
Sunday, February 5: YOUTH BRUNCH – Please attend the Youth Brunch in the Parish Hall just after the Sunday 10 am service. This brunch will be serving Eggs Benedict – DELICIOUS! The Youth Group is participating in a Food Drive to help a local Food Pantry. Bring a nonperishable food or canned good item to donate to this wonderful cause and you will receive $1.00 of your brunch! Also, due to the cancelation of our Epiphany Trope service, the Youth Group will be collecting all gifts to the Christ Child. Bring your UNWRAPPED toy and they will be given to children in need in December 2017 at the Lower Cape Outreach Gift Center.
NEW WEEKEND CUSTODIAN: Our new weekend custodian, Kim Gagne, has begun! Kim was chosen from among several qualified applicants interviewed by the Personnel Committee. Kim lives in Harwich Port and also works at Claire Murray. Please welcome her when you see her on Sunday mornings. She is looking forward to meeting all of you.

FREE SHOP: The Free Shop is gladly and gratefully accepting WINTER clothing. Open on Mondays: 12 Noon to 3 pm and Wednesdays: 10 am to 1 pm. Your donations can be dropped off any time the Parish Hall is open. If the shop is closed, there is a container outside the Free Shop door at the foot of the elevator. Questions? FAIR TRADE: PLEASE NOTE! For improved security, please pay for Fair Trade items by check (made out to Fr. Ken Campbell) and leave in the money box. If you want to pay by cash please leave cash in the Justice & Peace mailbox in the Church Office or give the cash directly to Fr. Ken. Thank you!
GALLEY WEST GIFT SHOP: We are open on Sundays from 11 am to 12 Noon.
GROCERY CARDS: After church at the coffee hour we sell Grocery Cards which may be used at Stop and Shop, Shaw’s, Friend’s, and Phoenix Fruit. The buyer receives full value of the card and the store donates 5% to the Homeless Prevention Council. The need is great here on the Lower Cape and by purchasing the grocery cards you will be helping those less fortunate.
WELCOMING PATHS COMMITTEE: The Welcoming Paths Committee is asking parishioners to notice new people at a service, invite them to coffee hour, and to invite people who have recently joined our congregation to join a committee and a Shepherd Group.
