Friday, March 24: Labyrinth Walk at 10 am in the Parish Hall and 5:30 pm Labyrinth Walk with Eucharist. Our guided labyrinth walks on the second Friday of every month at 10 am continue in March with the focus on “Healing.” Dr. Margaret Rappaport, Veriditas-certified labyrinth facilitator, will present an introduction to the walk following an opening theological reflection by Rev. Anne Koehler. Darlene T. Hagon, Director of Music will offer music selected to foster meditation on the theme. Join us again at 5:30 pm on March for celebration of the Eucharist. The labyrinth walk is meaningfully incorporated into an inspiring worship service by Rev. Anne Koehler. All are welcome, even if you simply sit, listen to the music, and quietly meditate in the inviting, candlelit space of the Parish Hall.
Fridays, March 24, 31, and April 7: We will offer STATIONS OF THE CROSS at 5:30 pm in the church. This will be followed by soup and bread suppers with a four-part presentation and discussion, led by Father Adam, titled, “Reading Scripture with the Mind in the Heart.” Sign up sheets for the soup (one vegetarian) and bread suppers are posted in the Reception Room.
Saturday, April 1: NETWORK FORUM AT HOLY SPIRIT – “Building a Working Relationship with our New State Senator, Julian Cyr” at 9 am to 12 noon in the Parish Hall. A big crowd expected! Please preregister with Fr. Ken. Thursday, April6: LADIES LUNCHEON – Save the date and join us with a sandwich to share at 12 Noon in the Parish Hall. Enjoy conversation, fellowship, and laughter with friends old & new! Friday, April 7: GARDEN PARTY – If the weather cooperates, we’ll be able to spiff the place up before Easter Week. If not, please put the 21st on your calendar as an alternate date. My plan is to clean out the perennials, trim the ornamental grasses and rake out some of the beds. We might even get some pansies in the pots at the main entrances to the sanctuary and Parish Hall. CHS ARTIST: BOOKS FOR LENTEN STUDY – Please stop by the Gallery in our Reception Room and select one of the books we have on display from our own parish library. Take it home to read. Just make sure you “sign it out” using the tracking card in the back cover of each book and place that card in the box in the bay window. And… Don’t forget to return your selection once you have completed reading it. We are also featuring Stations of the Cross quilt appliques by The Rev. Gail Smith. CHURCH SCHOOL NEWS: The Church School has the Ministry bulletin board in the Parish Hall for the month of March – displaying photographs from the Christmas Pageant, All Saint’s Day, Food for Kids Thank You Lunch for the Parish and Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper. Also on display are thank you notes from numerous families who received gifts from The Giving Tree in December 2016……Come & See!
FREE SHOP: The Free Shop is gladly and gratefully accepting WINTER clothing. Open on Mondays: 12 Noon to 3 pm and Wednesdays: 10 am to 1 pm.
