Easter Flower Envelopes are in the pews this weekend, March 25 and 26, and next weekend, April 1 and 2, so that you can offer flowers in memory of (or in thanksgiving for) loved ones. Please print clearly on the envelopes your name and those for whom the flowers are given. Include your donation and place your envelope in the Offertory plate. Deadline – Monday, April 3.
Sunday, March 26: Book discussion group – We are not meeting Sunday March 26. Next Week, April 2 in the Fireplace Room after the 10 am service, we are reading, Walter Brueggemann’s Devotions for Lent, A Way Other Than Our Own, WJK Press, 2017. Fridays, March 31, and April 7: We will offer STATIONS OF THE CROSS at 5:30 pm in the church. This will be followed by soup and bread suppers with a four-part presentation and discussion, led by Father Adam, titled, “Reading Scripture with the Mind in the Heart.” Signup sheets for the Soup (one vegetarian)/ Bread suppers are posted in the Reception Room. Saturday, April 1: NETWORK FORUM AT HOLY SPIRIT – “Building a Working Relationship with our New State Senator, Julian Cyr” at 9 am to 12 noon in the Parish Hall. A big crowd expected! Thursday, April 6: LADIES LUNCHEON – Save the date and join us with a sandwich to share at 12 Noon in the Parish Hall. Enjoy conversation, fellowship and laughter with friends old & new! Friday, April 7: GARDEN PARTY – If the weather cooperates, we’ll be able to spiff the place up before Easter Week. If not, please put the 21st on your calendar as an alternate date. My plan is to clean out the perennials, trim the ornamental grasses and rake out some of the beds. We might even get some pansies in the pots at the main entrances to the sanctuary and Parish Hall. TIME TO FILL THE EGGS – Empty plastic eggs can be picked up by the fireplace in the CHS Gallery/Reception Room. Eggs can be filled with WRAPPED candies (please, NO peanuts or peanut butter), small trinkets and returned to the same place. Thank you for making this annual & traditional Easter Egg Hunt so wonderful for our CHS children & visitors!

CHS ARTIST: BOOKS FOR LENTEN STUDY – Please stop by the Gallery in our Reception Room and select one of the books we have on display from our own parish library. Take it home to read. Just make sure you “sign it out” using the tracking card in the back cover of each book and place that card in the box in the bay window. And… Don’t forget to return your selection once you have completed reading it. We are also featuring Stations of the Cross quilt appliques by The Rev. Gail Smith.
