Sunday, April 23: BOOK DISCUSSION GROUP – We are continuing to read Brueggemann’s daily devotions. Our next book will be Diana Butler Bass’s Grounded, Harper, 2015, available in paperback. Sunday, April 23: THE WELCOMING PATHS COMMITTEE – We are planning a “HOLY SCAVENGER HUNT”, during the Coffee Hour after the 10 am service. We will pass out a list of locations to find in the Church Campus. As each parishioner finds the location, they will pick up a colored square of paper. The first person who comes back with all the squares will get a prize. This is a great way to find locations that are not so well known.

Sunday, April 23: SHEPHERD GROUPS – NOTE: Shepherd Groups are meeting one week later this month due to Easter falling on the 3rd Sunday. Brewster/Dennis will meet at 5:30 pm at the home of Karen and Jack Gentile, 98 Moss Lane, Brewster, 508-896-0024; Other questions contact Elizabeth Merritt at 508-240-6998. Orleans/Chatham will meet at 5:30 pm at the home of Jay Haun, 29 Harbor View Lane, Orleans, 508-240-1883. Eastham/Wellfleet Shepherd Group will have its 4th ANNUAL POETRY FEST at 5 pm, at the Goddards’, 905 Doane Rd., North Eastham. Bring a dish to share and a favorite poem to read.

Sunday, May 7: YOUTH GROUP BRUNCH – Every first Sunday of the month, after the 10 am service, our Youth Group puts on a fabulous brunch in the Parish Hall. Every other month from June until December of this year they will be hosting a FOOD DRIVE. If you bring in a non-perishable food item, you will receive $1.00 off your delicious brunch and also you will be contributing to a valuable cause!

Sunday, May 21: THE WELCOMING PATHS COMMITTEE – Save the date for this fun event, held during Coffee Hour a er the 10 am service. We’re hosting an Ice Cream Social in the Memorial Garden (weather permitting) to “show-off” the wonderful garden and new hardscape including a new bench and fantastic fountain. We will have ice cream, cookies, and coffee.

Something new at Church of the Holy Spirit beginning April 30. Look for Altar Flowers Request Cards at each entrance to the church. For a donation of fifty dollars, flowers will be purchased and arranged by the newly formed Flower Guild. You may choose to do this to remember someone or perhaps to celebrate a special occasion such as an anniversary or birthday. The name of the loved one being honored will be noted in the service bulletins of the weekend services of the chosen date. Questions? Contact Marty Williams at 508-255-8730.

MADE INTO JIGSAW PUZZLES – Leslie writes: The collages represent a lifelong love of beauty and my determination to be surrounded by it. Come and enjoy! JUNE IS CRAFTERS MONTH in the Reception Room – if you: carve, stitch, pleat, paint, weave, decorate, glue, shape or repair – welcome! This year please plan to exhibit a longtime favorite creation or two? Call Jan Roberts at 508-255-6281.

COFFEE HOUR HOSTS: Please sign up on the posted sheet in the Parish Hall. The beverages are provided, you just need to bring something of your choice to go with them! A special thank you to those of you who have helped out with Coffee Hour, to keep this fellowship going.

FREE SHOP: The Free Shop is gladly and gratefully accepting SPRING clothing. Open on Mondays: 12 Noon to 3 pm and Wednesdays: 10 am to 1 pm. Your donations can be dropped o any me the Parish Hall is open. If the shop is closed there is a container outside the Free Shop door at the foot of the elevator. Questions? GALLEY WEST GIFT SHOP: We are open on Sundays from 11 am to 12 Noon.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: After many years taking food donations from CHS to the Lower Cape Outreach Committee food pantry every week, David Clarenden has decided to “retire”. If you can volunteer to do this critical weekly mission for one month a year, please contact Phil Suraci at 508-240-2785.

FOOD 4 KIDS will be hiring a Staff Assistant for summer 2017 to assist the Operation and Kitchen Managers and work with volunteers. This will be a 40-hour/week position. We are looking for an energetic and responsible young adult with a valid MA driver’s license and own transportation. Must be committed to the spirit and mission of F4K. WEEKEND HOSTS NEEDED! Plans are underway to provide a weekend mini-vacation on Cape Cod for recent immigrants or refugees living in the Worcester area on July 14-16 or August 11- 13.
