Friday, June 9: GARDEN PARTY – All you Happy Gardeners bring your tools and energy and join us as we clean up our campus. Usual time: 9 am; Usual place: rear parking lot of CHS; Usual treats: coffee, Hole in One Donut holes & water; Usual tasks: weeding and dead heading.
Friday, June 9: LABYRINTH WALK – 10 am in the Parish Hall. Our guided walks on the second Friday of every month continue with a special program on Celtic symbols and history. Opening reflections by The Rev. Anne Koehler. The Rev. Bill Heuss will offer a talk about the Infinite Knot and its connections to the labyrinth. Banners displaying paintings by Rev. Heuss made during a Pilgrimage to Celtic sites in England and Wales will be available for viewing. Selected types of Celtic music are offered by Director of Music, Darlene T. Hagon. Please join us whether you choose to walk the labyrinth or to quietly sit, meditate and pray.
Tuesday, June 13: CHS CHRISTMAS BAZAAR BRAINSTORMING MEETING at 10 am Fireplace Room – We’ve been asked to rethink how and when we hold a Christmas Bazaar this year. CHURCH SCHOOL NEWS – DATE CHANGES: The last Sunday of Church School classes will be June 11. Youth Recognition Sunday and all parish cookout will be Sunday, June 18. Veggie Tale Summer Theater begins on Sunday, June 25 in the room across from the Nursery.
Please bring sardines to church next week for the Food Pantry. This is a simple task, but so rewarding to help people in need!
CHS ARTIST: For the Month of May, the CHS Gallery features Food 4 Kids. Food 4 Kids’ mis- sion is to feed the children of the lower and outer Cape during the summer months. It also brings together volunteers of all ages and faiths as we work to further God’s Kingdom in our communities. You will find great information about the program and also ways to volunteer. FREE SHOP: The Free Shop is gladly and gratefully accepting SPRING and SUMMER clothing. Open on Mondays: 12 Noon to 3 pm and Wednesdays: 10 am to 1 pm. The Food 4 Kids Steering Committee wishes to thank all those who have signed up to volunteer on the charts in the Reception Room or online. If you plan to sign up, there are s ll many opportunities for you. We wish to underscore the need for drivers to deliver the coolers to the various sites. If you can t 4+ coolers in your car and can commit to at least one day per week all summer, please let us know. We are also s ll looking for a Staff Assistant and two Site Supervisors.
