Sunday, June 25: REIMAGINING PROJECT – After the 10 am service, in the Parish Hall. Did you complete your reimagining survey? If you have not, please take the time to fill it out and send it to or drop it off at the CHS office. Your input is valuable! Also, please plan to attend and participate in our open session to be held on Sunday, June 25 after the 10 am service.

Sunday, June 25: BOOK DISCUSSION GROUP – THERE WILL BE NO MEETING THIS SUNDAY, JUNE 25 DUE TO THE REIMAGINING MEETING. ALSO, WE WILL NOT BE MEETING ON SUNDAY, JULY 2, because of the Fourth of July weekend. On Sunday, July 9 we will be reading the next two chapters, 5 and 6: “Home” and “Neighborhood” of Diana Butler Bass’ book, “Grounded.” We hope to finish the last two chapters of the book during July. Members are encouraged to reflect on the 40 day devotional at the back of the book. Brooke and Brian Skea

SUNDAY, JUNE 25: CHURCH SCHOOL NEWS – Veggie Tale Summer Theatre with snacks begins at 9:45 am and will be held in the Creation Room across the hall from the Church Nursery. Available for children 4 years and younger, visitors gladly and gratefully welcomed! Veggie Tale Theatre runs through September 3, Labor Day Weekend. CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR GRADUATES! Kaylee Brintnall, Ashley Chung, Carolyn Hanrahan, Cian Hanrahan, Jacob LaBranche, Mary O’Reilly and Hanna Sweeney. We look forward to seeing you and hearing about where life takes you from now on! Wherever you go and whatever you do, God will be with you.


Thursday, July 6: LADIES LUNCHEON – 12 Noon in the Parish Hall. By popular vote, we WILL have a Ladies Luncheon in July! Remind and invite your friends, summer visitors and any other women you know who would enjoy this simple get together. Bring a sandwich to share and the rest will be provided. July committee: Sue Stevens: chips, Georgia Schneider: 1/2 and 1/2 and lemon, Fay Cole: paper goods and centerpieces, Klondike Bars for dessert.

Friday, July 14: GARDEN PARTY – 8:30 am to 11:30 am. The usual weeding, trimming and mulching. Something for every skill level and every physical ability. Come for a little while or all morning. Snacks supplied. Coffee, cold water and Hole in One donut holes.

MEN’S LUNCH – Our Men’s Lunch group will NOT meet during June, July and August. Hope everyone has a wonderful Summer and we’ll see you in September! Questions? Call Bruce Lederhouse at 508-240-2853.

SINGING SUMMER: The choir has had our last official Wednesday night rehearsal un l the Fall. This means that we are launching into our Summer Choir mode. Beginning on June 18 and continuing on un l September 10 any and all singers (all voice ranges, all ages) are invited to come any Sunday for a rehearsal in the church at 9 am and sing with the Choir at the 10 am service. Since this is the only weekly rehearsal we hold during the summer, all who wish to participate on Sundays need to come to this important rehearsal at 9 am. Vestments are not worn. Come give it a try. Bring family and friends. Make a joyful noise!

CHS ARTIST: JUNE IS CHS CRAFTERS MONTH in the Reception Room Gallery. Derived from the German word, Kraft, the noun “craft” is defined as an activity involving skill in making things by hand or an art, trade or occupation requiring special skill, especially manual skill. CHS is fortunate to have many members who are wonderful at an art form or craft that will be on display. Please make the me to view their handiwork in the Reception Room. COFFEE HOUR HOSTS: Please sign-up on the posted sheet in the Parish Hall. The beverages are provided, you just need to bring something of your choice to go with them! A special thank you to those of you who have helped out with Coffee Hour, to keep this fellowship going.

FOOD PANTRY DONATIONS: Please bring Baked Beans to church next week for the Food Pantry. This is a simple task, but so rewarding to help people in need!

FREE SHOP: The Free Shop is gladly and gratefully accepting SPRING and SUMMER clothing. Open on Mondays: 12 Noon to 3 pm and Wednesdays: 10 am to 1 pm. Your donations can be dropped o any me the Parish Hall is open. If the shop is closed there is a container outside the Free Shop door at the foot of the elevator. Questions? GALLEY WEST GIFT SHOP: We are now opened for the Summer! On Sunday from 11 am to 12 Noon and Monday through Thursday from 10 am to 3 pm, except on Holidays. Susan Owens

FOOD 4 KIDS wants to thank everyone who has signed up and participated in our site supervisor and volunteer trainings this past week. We are setting up our operations area downstairs in the Gathering Room this week and will begin serving meals to the children of the Lower and Outer Cape on Monday, June 26. We are looking forward to a busy and productive summer.

Something new at Church of the Holy Spirit – Look for ALTAR FLOWERS REQUEST CARDS at each entrance to the church. For a donation of y dollars, flowers will be purchased and arranged by the newly formed Flower Guild. You may choose to do this to remember someone or perhaps to celebrate a special occasion such as an anniversary or birthday. The name of the loved one being honored will be noted in the service bulletins of the weekend services of the chosen date. Questions? Call Marty Williams at 508-255-8730.
