Sunday, September 10: Church School – Registration Sunday – We begin a new Church School Year Sunday, September 10. Registration packets will be mailed to all Church School families mid-August. Please complete a Registration form for each child as information for each child is essential in our planning for the 2017-2018 Church School year. Sunday, September 10: Book Discussion Group – We hope to meet Sunday, September 10, in the Fireplace Room after the 10 am service. We will finish “Grounded” by Diana Butler Bass, and plan to begin Richard Rohr’s “The Divine Dance” (2016) two weeks later on Sunday September 24. Brian and Brooke Skea
Monday, September 11: St. Martha and Kimball Guilds will reconvene in the Fireplace Room and Kimball House at 10 am and then get together at 12 Noon to share a bag lunch. Friday, September 15: GARDEN PARTY—From 9 am to 12 Noon. “See you in September when the summer’s through”. Saturday, September 16: YOUTH MOVIE & PIZZA NIGHT – From 5 to 9 pm. Grades 5 – 9. We will make our own pizzas and then watch the popular 1996 family adventure, PG film “Alaska”. This is a free event, but you must R.S.V.P. to Matt Thompson (firstname.lastname@example.org) by Friday, September 15 – so he can get the pizza supplies. COME JOIN THE FUN!
Sunday, September 17: CHURCH SCHOOL NEWS – 9:45 am, in the Gathering Room – Cheryl Kyle will be presenting and showing a video of her annual trip to Tanzania, Africa. Cheryl has been helping the Endupoto Primary School for Maasai boys and girls to grow, and in recent years, helped them obtain their own source of clean water.

CHS GALLERY/CHS ARTISTS: The featured CHS artist in the Reception/Gallery Room for the month of September is Pia Mackenzie. Please view her new series of twelve collages she created this summer in the themes of “Woods, Angels and Wilderness”. The 2018 Gallery sign up sheet is available to sign up to exhibit your craft for one month in 2018. Set up the first day of your chosen month – take down the last day of that month. Questions? COFFEE HOUR HOSTS: Please sign-up on the posted sheet in the Parish Hall. The beverages are provided, you just need to bring something of your choice to go with them! A special thank you to those of you who have helped out with Coffee Hour, to keep this fellowship going.
FREE SHOP: The new Free Shop Schedule was mailed to all volunteers in August. If you did not receive a copy, please contact the CHS office. The shop is gladly and gratefully accepting fall clothing and paper shopping bags. We are open Monday: 12 Noon to 3 pm and Wednesday: 10 am to 1 pm. Donations can be dropped off during shop hours or placed in the box outside the shop door any time the parish hall is open. Thank you to Sue Sasso and Nancy Anderson for answering the “urgent call” for new volunteers. We still need a couple more volunteers for Wednesday mornings.
