Sunday, September 17: CHURCH SCHOOL NEWS – 9:45 am, in the Gathering Room – Cheryl Kyle will be presenting and showing a video of her annual trip to Tanzania, Africa. Cheryl has been helping the Endupoto Primary School for Maasai boys and girls to grow, and in recent years, helped them obtain their own source of clean water.

Monday, September 18: St. Martha and Kimball Guilds has reconvened; Every Monday, in the Fireplace Room and Kimball House at 10 am and then get together at 12 Noon to share a bag lunch. Thursday, October 5: Ladies Luncheon – 17 of us shared lunch together in September, for our first gathering after summer vacation and as one person put it, “It felt like a party.” We decided to continue to collect baby items for the Baby center in Hyannis at this Oct. meeting. Remember to bring a sandwich to share and be in the Parish Hall at 12 Noon. The rest will be provided. Our committee for October is Sue Stevens (chips), Jane Affleck (lemon and 1/2 and 1/2), Pat Carroll (paper goods), and Bev Dreher and Dot Cross collaborating on table decorations. Friday, October 13 (4 pm to 7 pm) and Saturday, October 14 (9 am to 12 Noon): RUMMAGE SALE – DONATION DROP OFF AT THE PARISH HALL BEGINS WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 11, times will be posted. We need CLEAN adult and children’s clothing, shoes and boots in wearable condition. We will also need gently used books (no mildew please!) as well as “white elephant” items such as dishes, baking items, small furniture, small appliances IN WORKING ORDER and children’s toys. We CANNOT ACCEPT – TV’s, computer equipment, luggage, LP records, food, live plants, golf or ski equipment. Many helping hands will be necessary to make this year’s sale a success! Saturday, November 4: HOLIDAY BAZAAR UPDATE – Plans are well underway for our All Parish Holiday Bazaar on Saturday, November 4 from 9 am to 3 pm. CHS GALLERY/CHS ARTISTS: The featured CHS artist in the Reception/Gallery Room for the month of September is Pia Mackenzie. Please view her new series of twelve collages she created this summer in the themes of “Woods, Angels and Wilderness”. The 2018 Gallery sign up sheet is available to sign up to exhibit your craft for one month in 2018. Set up the first day of your chosen month – take down the last day of that month. Questions? FREE SHOP: The new Free Shop Schedule was mailed to all volunteers in August. If you did not receive a copy, please contact the CHS office. The shop is gladly and gratefully accepting fall clothing and paper shopping bags. We are open Monday: 12 Noon to 3 pm and Wednesday: 10 am to 1 pm. Donations can be dropped off during shop hours or placed in the box outside the shop door any time the parish hall is open. Acolytes: Every Sunday at 10 a.m. our priests, their assistants and the CHS choir enter the church to start our main service of the week. But did you ever notice they are led to the altar by our own young people? These are our Acolytes, and now we have an opportunity for your students (grade 3 to 12) to join them.
