CHURCH SCHOOL NEWS – 14 families were represented at our family camping trip to the Barbara Harris Camp in Greenfield, NH last weekend. A good time was had by all! Look for more on our trip in the November Together.

Friday, October 20: 10 am Labyrinth Walk & 5:30 pm Labyrinth Walk with Eucharist – At the 10 a.m. walk, the parish hall will be silent. The labyrinth will be candlelit waiting for the golden sound of God’s love in music and movement. Banners will be displayed around the edge of the labyrinth. Anne Koehler+ will offer an opening prayer before a brief commentary on the theme: Meditation, by Dr. Margaret Rappaport, Veriditas-certified Labyrinth Facilitator. Darlene T. Hagon, Director of Music/Labyrinth, and Veriditas-certified Labyrinth Facilitator will begin the walk with selected music to enhance the meditative experience. Join us in the evening at 5:30 p.m. for our scheduled quarterly walk and celebration of the Holy Eucharist by Anne Koehler+. Please remember you are welcome whether or not you walk the labyrinth.
Saturday, October 21: PUMPKIN CARVING PARTY – 4 pm to 8 pm in the Parish Hall. The CHS Youth Group/Church School is having the second annual family Pumpkin Carving and Spaghetti and Meatball Dinner with salad and drinks. Please RSVP to Matt Thompson: firstname.lastname@example.org by October 13 for the food and pumpkin count. The pumpkins and dinner are supplied by the Youth Group/Church School. Please bring your pumpkin carving tools if you have them. If you have a friend or another family that you would like to invite just let me know. We look forward to a fun night of carving, food and fellowship.

SAVE THE DATES for the 40th Annual Antiques Show and Sale to be held on Friday, November 25, from 10 am to 4 pm and on Saturday, November 26, from 10 am to 3 pm in the Parish Hall. There will be 25 dealers from the New England area offering you a wide range of choice antiques. You will receive a letter asking for your support of this longstanding fund raiser for our parish. We hope that you will be a PATRON of this show that has been such a tradition here at the CSH. Monies raised at this annual event are used to support our parish programs.
