Sunday, March 25: SHEPHERD GROUPS: The Brewster Shepherd Group will gather at Elizabeth & Gilbert Merritt’s at 5:30 pm at 64 Nickerson Rd., Orleans. The Orleans Shepherd Group will gather at 5:30 pm at Anne & Steve Koehler’s: 14 Cheney Rd., Orleans. Parking available in their driveway or the driveway across the street (17 Cheney). Wednesday, March 28: Holy Wednesday – Walking the Way of the Cross and Supper at 5:30 pm. This is for all Church School families and their extended families and friends. “Sign-up” for this traditional event is necessary to determine amount of food to purchase. The sign-up sheet is posted on the Church School bulletin board in the Gathering Room.
Friday, March 30: GOOD FRIDAY ECUMENICAL SERVICE – Please consider attending the annual Nauset Interfaith Good Friday service at the Brewster Baptist Church, (next to the Brewster Ladies Library on route 6A) from 12 Noon to 1 pm. There will be short reflections from several lay and clergy leaders from different denominations, a choir anthem, hymns, prayers and moments of silence. Thursday, April 5: Ladies Luncheon – Check your calendar and make sure April 5 is circled and marked Ladies Luncheon at 12 Noon in the Parish Hall. 33rd Annual United People for Kids Good Friday Walk – U.P. for Kids is proud to sponsor the thirty-third Annual Good Friday Walk on March 30, 2018. The walk benefits children with special needs and their families on Cape Cod and the Islands. CHS Artist: The CHS artist for the month of March is Pat McLeod. Pat has dabbled in various art forms most of her life. Food 4 Kids is searching for one Program Assistant to assist Managers and Volunteers to ensure meals are prepared and delivered efficiently, safely, and on a timely basis. 40 hours a week, 6 am – 2:30 pm from June 25 – August 24; $13 per hour. We also need several Site Supervisors to transport coolers to sites where you will serve meals to the children. 2-3 hours a day; $13 per hour, plus mileage. HEALTH MINISTRIES COMMITTEE: March is brain awareness month. Be sure to stop by the table at coffee hour or look for handouts at the reception desk and the main entrance of the church. Topics to be covered include general brain health, diseases of the brain, issues related to our aging brains and concussions.
Nauset Interfaith Association: The Refugee Support Team of Nauset Interfaith Association is collecting gift cards during March to support refugee families and individuals in Worcester and on Cape Cod. Specific cards requested: Star Market, Stop & Shop, Walmart and Visa. These can be given to Ken+ or left in the Justice & Peace mailbox in the office, (please identify giver). Thank you!
