Thursday, April 5: Ladies Luncheon – Check your calendar and make sure April 5 is circled and marked Ladies Luncheon at 12 Noon in the Parish Hall. Friday, April 13: CHS GARDEN TEAM DAY – 9 am to 12 Noon. Please join us on the CHS grounds for a Garden Party. We’ll be doing the usual early spring things like mulching, weeding, trimming and fertilizing. There’s a opportunity for everybody to help. If you have tools and a container for trimmings bring them along, if not, we’ll have them for you. As usual we’ll have coffee, water and “Hole in One” Donut Holes. Gilbert Merritt
Friday, April 13: LABYRINTH WALK – in the Parish Hall at 10 am – This month’s theme: “Resurrection”. We are in the midst of the Easter Season. “Resurrection” “Christ is risen” is still on our minds. Spring is all around us. We too experience something of “resurrection” each day as we rise each morning. On our labyrinth walk we will be invited to take something of all of these “Resurrections” into our walk, as we walk and listen to God’s word for us. So, come walk with us! Gail Smith+
Wednesday, April 18: MEN’S LUNCHEON is resuming! We will meet at 12 Noon in the Fireplace Room. Coffee with snacks provided by donation; bring your sandwich. Our attendance has been seriously dropping. Perhaps it is time to reimagine our group. We’ll discuss this. In any event, it’s time for a leadership change. See you there! CHS Artist: The featured CHS artist for the month of April is Gail Smith+. “Celebrating the Creation Stories in Genesis”, Gail’s quilt panels are monochromatic in the colors of the rainbow. She created all the designs and turned them into applique pictures and then hand quilted each panel. In the center of Gail’s exhibit is the Church School Easter Tree. Enjoy this colorful creative exhibit – Alleluia! The 2018 Gallery calendar is full – thank you! The 2019 Gallery Calendar will be available for monthly sign-ups this July. Food 4 Kids is searching for one Program Assistant to assist Managers and Volunteers to ensure meals are prepared and delivered efficiently, safely, and on a timely basis. 40 hours a week, 6 am – 2:30 pm from June 25 – August 24; $13 per hour. We also need several Site Supervisors to transport coolers to sites where you will serve meals to the children. 2-3 hours a day; $13 per hour, plus mileage. HEALTH MINISTRIES COMMITTEE: March is brain awareness month. Be sure to stop by the table at coffee hour or look for handouts at the reception desk and the main entrance of the church. Topics to be covered include general brain health, diseases of the brain, issues related to our aging brains and concussions.
Nauset Interfaith Association: The Refugee Support Team of Nauset Interfaith Association is collecting gift cards during March to support refugee families and individuals in Worcester and on Cape Cod. Cards requested: Star Market, Stop & Shop, Walmart, Visa. These can be given to Ken+ or left in the J & P mailbox in the office, (please identify giver). Thank you!
The Refugee Support Team is sponsoring a 2nd annual “Weekend on Cape Cod” for refugee families and individuals living in Massachusetts on July 13-15 and August 10-12.
