Sunday, April 29:  Book Discussion Group  In the Fireplace Room after the 10 am service. We will continue with “All Shall be Well”, reading pages 261-292, chapters 41-45. We hope to read pages 293-323 on May 6, and finish the book by May 13, 324-346. Brian and Brooke Skea

Thursday, May 3:  LADIES LUNCHEON – Please circle the date on your calendar for our Ladies Luncheon at 12 Noon in the Parish Hall. Bring a sandwich to share and join us. The May committee is:  Chips, Maggie MacLeay; Paper goods, Sue Stevens; Table decoration, Fay Cole; Juice, Marge Farrell; Lemon and 1/2 and 1/2, Jane Affleck; Dessert, Ginny Clarendon.

Sunday, May 6:  YOUTH GROUP BRUNCH – In the Parish Hall after the 10 am service. Please come and enjoy a delicious brunch prepared and served by our Youth Group!

Wednesday, May 9:  Pray and Ponder –  In the Parish Hall at 5:30 pm. The heart  of our session will be open discussion of faith issues, in particular, questions that participants will bring to the group to explore together. The focus in this series will be practical and experiential. Our sessions will conclude at 6:30 pm. Please just come!

Friday, May 11:  GARDEN PARTY –  Please join us at the next party on the 11th.  Bring your tools and meet us in the back parking lot. Coffee, water and Hole In One donut holes will be provided at break. Questions? Call Gilbert Merritt at 508-360-1125 or 508-240-6998.

Friday, May 11:  LABYRINTH WALK – In the Parish Hall at 10 am. This month we will begin to explore Ed Bacon’s book “The Eight Habits of Love”. Our theme will be Generosity. We plan to have monthly Labyrinth Walks. Gail Smith+

Saturday, May 12:  Youth Outreach & Hospitality, will host a BENEFIT CONCERT at 7 pm in the Parish Hall. Singer/songwriter Jodi Heights will be here from Boston and Celtic Roots, a band of young musicians from the Nauset and Monomoy schools will perform a CONCERT TO BENEFIT HOMELESS AND AT-RISK YOUTH on the Lower and Outer Cape. Saturday, May 19:  A “Visitor” Conversation  In the Parish Hall from 10 am to 12 Noon. If you are regularly visiting someone in the Parish or you would like to be involved; then we are inviting you! The purpose is to give resources to help you help those you visit. All Eucharistic Visitors are urged to attend. Please let us know you will attend by calling the parish office at 508-255-0433. Sunday, May 20:  The Church of the Holy Spirit’s 85th Birthday and Pentecost. Please join us after the 10 am service for a parish “Cook-In” and Birthday Party! It is a tradition to wear RED on Pentecost! We will also welcome our new Minister of Music:  Joan Marie Kirchner. Also please bring a side dish to share.

CHS Artist:  The featured CHS artist for the month of April is Gail Smith+. “Celebrating the Creation Stories in Genesis”, Gail’s quilt panels are monochromatic in the colors of the rainbow.  She created all the designs and turned them into applique pictures and then hand quilted each panel. In the center of Gail’s exhibit is the Church School Easter Tree.  Enjoy this colorful creative exhibit – Alleluia! The 2018 Gallery calendar is full – thank you!  The 2019 Gallery Calendar will be available for monthly sign-ups this July. FREE SHOP:  The shop is gratefully accepting spring clothing. We are open Monday: 12 Noon to 3 pm and Wednesday: 10 am to 1 pm. GALLEY WEST GIFT SHOP:  The shop is open to the public on Sundays from 11:15 am to 12 Noon and on Mondays from 10 am to 1 pm, except on Holidays. New: Janet Winter’s ready to frame water colors for children’s rooms! You know her work, you know her talent! Share with your friends and family. Please stop by, browse, and shop for yourself, family, and friends.

Food 4 Kids is preparing for another busy summer of delivering snacks and meals to the children of the Lower and Outer Cape. Volunteers will be needed once again to assist in preparation, packing, and driving. Volunteer signups will be held during the month of May. For more info, please be sure to visit our website at www.food4kidscapecod.org.

HEALTH MINISTRIES COMMITTEE:  May is Eye Health Awareness Month.  We will offer brief topics on Glaucoma, Cataracts and Macular Degeneration.  We will have some simple eye tests for home use as well as information on surgeries offered. You can pick up information in the Parish hall and speak to one of our ministry members directly. Ann Pike-Paris, Coordinator

Nauset Interfaith Association:  The Refugee Support Team of Nauset Interfaith Association is collecting gift cards during March to support refugee families and individuals in Worcester and on Cape Cod. Cards requested: Star Market, Stop & Shop, Walmart, Visa. These can be given to Ken+ or left in the J & P mailbox in the office, (please identify giver).  Thank you!

The Refugee Support Team is sponsoring a 2nd annual “Weekend on Cape Cod” for refugee families and individuals living in Massachusetts on July 13-15 and August 10-12.
