Wednesday, May 9: Pray and Ponder – In the Parish Hall at 5:30 pm. The heart of our session will be open discussion of faith issues, in particular, questions that participants will bring to the group to explore together. The focus in this series will be practical and experiential. Our sessions will conclude at 6:30 pm. Please just come!

Saturday, May 12: Youth Outreach & Hospitality, will host a BENEFIT CONCERT at 7 pm in the Parish Hall. Singer/songwriter Jodi Heights will be here from Boston and Celtic Roots, a band of young musicians from the Nauset and Monomoy schools will perform a CONCERT TO BENEFIT HOMELESS AND AT-RISK YOUTH on the Lower and Outer Cape. Sunday, May 20: The Church of the Holy Spirit’s 85th Birthday and Pentecost. Please join us after the 10 am service for a parish “Cook-In” and Birthday Party! It is a tradition to wear RED on Pentecost! We will also welcome our new Minister of Music: Joan Marie Kirchner. Also please bring a side dish to share.
CHS Artist: The featured CHS artist for the month of April is Gail Smith+. “Celebrating the Creation Stories in Genesis”, Gail’s quilt panels are monochromatic in the colors of the rainbow. She created all the designs and turned them into applique pictures and then hand quilted each panel. In the center of Gail’s exhibit is the Church School Easter Tree. Enjoy this colorful creative exhibit – Alleluia! The 2018 Gallery calendar is full – thank you! The 2019 Gallery Calendar will be available for monthly sign-ups this July. Food 4 Kids is preparing for another busy summer of delivering snacks and meals to the children of the Lower and Outer Cape. Volunteers will be needed once again to assist in preparation, packing, and driving. Volunteer signups will be held during the month of May. HEALTH MINISTRIES COMMITTEE: May is Eye Health Awareness Month. We will offer brief topics on Glaucoma, Cataracts and Macular Degeneration. We will have some simple eye tests for home use as well as information on surgeries offered. You can pick up information in the Parish hall and speak to one of our ministry members directly. Nauset Interfaith Association: The Refugee Support Team of Nauset Interfaith Association is collecting gift cards during March to support refugee families and individuals in Worcester and on Cape Cod.
