The heart of our session will be open discussion of faith issues, in particular, questions that participants will bring to the group to explore together. Sunday, May 20: PENTECOST, The Church of the Holy Spirit’s 85th Birthday. We’re welcoming our new Minister of Music, Joan Marie Kirchner. It’s also Youth Recognition Sunday! Please join us after the 10 am service for a parish Cook-Out and Birthday Party. Please bring a side dish to share. The Church School and Shepherd Groups will provide all “the Grills”. CHS Artist: The featured CHS artist for the month of May is F4Ks. This year we will be serving free meals to 400-500 children in 15 community programs on the Lower/Outer Cape from June 25 – August 24. We make and distribute those lunches with a very small paid staff and the generous efforts of volunteers like you. Back this year by popular demand is the ability to sign up online. Saturday, May 12: Youth Outreach & Hospitality, will host a BENEFIT CONCERT at 7 pm in the Parish Hall. Singer/songwriter Jodi Heights will be here from Boston and Celtic Roots, a band of young musicians from the Nauset and Monomoy schools will perform a CONCERT TO BENEFIT HOMELESS AND AT-RISK YOUTH on the Lower and Outer Cape. HEALTH MINISTRIES COMMITTEE: May is Eye Health Awareness Month. We will offer brief topics on Glaucoma, Cataracts and Macular Degeneration. We will have some simple eye tests for home use as well as information on surgeries offered. Parking Lot Safety: We’ve noticed that we have more people ignoring our “Exit Only” and “Entrance Only” signs, and driving in the exit. This is a real concern, and could result in a serious accident. So let’s look out for one another and “keep with the flow”!
