THE GIVING TREE IS UP in the reception room. This year we are purchasing gifts for families of the Homeless Prevention Council and the Safe Harbor domestic violence shelter. Stop by the reception area and pick a dove from the tree and an instruction sheet on your way to the Parish Hall after the service today or at any time the office is open during the week. Remember to return your dove with your gifts ASAP as we must have all the gifts for delivery by DECEMBER 9. Call Brooke Eaton-Skea at 774-279-3453 or email brookeskea@gmail.com. Thank you!

CHS Artist:  The featured artist for November is Janet Winter. Janet has been doing artwork all her life – happily progressing from Crayolas to oil, watercolors, ink and colored pencils.  She has won a number of awards and enjoyed several one-woman museum shows.  Janet has written and illustrated three Christmas books for children. Although now retired from commercial work, Janet continues to create colored pencil illustrations for cards and prints. A sign up sheet for 2019 is in the Gallery. Contact Sharyn at artoff@comcast.net or 508-255- 7277.

NATIVITY DISPLAY:  December is around the corner and once again we would like to fill the gallery area with special crèches.  I hope some members of the congregation will consider adding their own favorite nativity set to the display. Do you have a nativity set with a meaningful story behind it? Perhaps it is something from your childhood….or perhaps it is handcrafted, or maybe a souvenir from a trip to another land? A gift from someone dear? Please call me at 508-896-5634 or email me at csamurray@mac.com and let me know if you have something to add to make this year’s array even more special. It would be helpful to have your contribution by November 29. Thank you, Cynthia Murray

FREE SHOP:  The leaves will be falling soon and turning color.  Your Winter clothing donations will be most welcomed. No more summer clothes, please! We are open Monday: 12 Noon to 3 pm and Wednesday: 10 am to 1 pm. Donations can be dropped off during shop hours or placed in the box outside the shop door any time the parish hall is open. Questions? Contact Sharyn Laughton – artoff@comcast.net – 508 255 7277.

GALLEY WEST GIFT SHOP:  Have you checked out the Galley West shop recently? It’s a one of a kind shop with many wonderful items for sale. The shop is open to the public on Sundays from 11:15 am to 12 Noon and on Mondays from 10 am to 1 pm, except on Holidays. Please stop by, browse, and shop for yourself, family, and friends. Thank you, Susan Owens

HEALTH MINISTRIES COMMITTEE:  The Health topic for November is Diabetes. Questions: Do you know there are several types of diabetes? Do you know which type of diabetes is the most common? Do you know the signs and symptoms of diabetes? Find the answers at the health table on Sundays in November or on the desk in the Reception area. Ann Pike-Paris, Chair

PRAYER SHAWL MINISTRY – KNITTERS NEEDED – Our pastoral visitors take the shawls to homes, nursing homes and hospitals after they have been blessed at one of our Eucharistic services. We also knit baby blankets for newborns. There is no right or wrong way to create these shawls of love and care but we do request that they be approximately 24” by 60” in size (though baby blankets are much smaller!) If you can help, please call Sandy Marshall at 508-255-9971 or svm2@comcast.net.

Parking Lot Safety:  We’ve noticed that we have more people ignoring our “Exit Only” and “Entrance Only” signs, and driving in the exit. This is a real concern, and could result in a serious accident. So let’s look out for one another and “keep with the flow”!
