Sunday, April 21:  Easter Brunch: On Easter Sunday, April 21, we will have a special Easter Brunch after the 10 am service, prepared and served by our Youth Group, come and enjoy!

Tuesday, April 30:  STONE SOUP SUPPER – In the Parish Hall from 5 to 8 pm – an interfaith supper sponsored by Am HaYam Havurah (Jewish congregation on lower/outer cape and Nauset Interfaith).  It will feature conversations on food traditions and their relation to interfaith understanding. RUMMAGE SALE time is here!  Friday, May 3 (4 pm to 7 pm) and Saturday, May 4 (9 am to 12 noon).  Can’t wait until 4:00 on Friday to shop?  Early admission at 3:30 pm for a $20 donation (all other times, admission is free).  DONATION DROP OFF at the Parish Hall begins Wednesday, May 1 at 10 am.  Full schedule is posted in the Together and on pink flyers in the Reception Room and Parish Hall.  We need CLEAN adult and children’s clothing and shoes in wearable condition. Also, gently used books (no mildew please!) as well as “white elephant” items such as dishes, baking items, small furniture, small appliances in working order and children’s toys.  New this year – live outdoor plants are also welcome. We CANNOT ACCEPT – TV’s, computer equipment, luggage, LP records, food, golf or ski equipment.  Many helping hands will be necessary to make this year’s sale a success!  You don’t have to sign up, just please come volunteer your time and help. SAVE THE DATE:  On Friday, May 17, Youth Outreach and Hospitality (YOH) an action team of the  Nauset Interfaith Association, will sponsor a BENEFIT CONCERT at 7 pm in the CHS Parish Hall.  CELTIC ROOTS, a band of talented Middle and High School musicians will perform a CONCERT TO BENEFIT HOMELESS AND AT-RISK YOUTH on the Lower and Outer Cape.  Please come and support this work!  For more information, please contact Brooke Eaton-Skea at brookeskea@gmail.com or 774-279-3453.

COFFEE HOUR SIGN UP:  THANK YOU to all of you who responded to the appeal for coffee hour hosts!  The sign up sheet goes into August and as of right now there are just two openings:  May 12 and July 28.  Sign up today!

ALTAR FLOWERS:  Please consider a donation for altar flowers! Just fill out an Altar Flowers request card, available at all the church entrances. You may choose to do this to remember someone or perhaps to celebrate a special anniversary or birthday.  For a donation of fifty dollars the Flower Guild will purchase and arrange flowers and the name(s) of the loved ones being honored will be noted in the service bulletins of the weekend services of the chosen date.

CHS FEATURED ARTIST:  Pia Cristina Mackenzie is the Artist for April. Using collage images and the central themes: psalms, hymns of praise, and a sense of wonder at God’s love and his creation, Pia has created quite a unique show. Please stop in the Reception/Galley Room and enjoy her creativity!

FREE SHOP: Your Spring clothing donations are most welcomed. We are open Monday: 12 Noon to 3 pm and Wednesday: 10 am to 1 pm. GALLEY WEST GIFT SHOP:  Is open during coffee hour on Sundays until 12 Noon. Please stop by. Summer schedule sign up:  There will be a sign up calendar for July and August on the bulletin board in the side entry way to the parish hall. HEALTH MINISTRIES COMMITTEE:  This month’s topic: What is Occupational Therapy? Occupational therapists enable people of all ages to live life to its fullest by helping them promote health, and prevent injury, illness, or disability. The goal is to achieve the highest level of independence possible. PASTORAL CARE:  Celia Calhoun, Coordinator – If YOU are taken to the hospital, please inform the staff there that you want your home parish to be informed. The chaplain there will call our office to let us know. CONSTANT CONTACT:  Here at the Church of the Holy Spirit we occasionally send out a Constant Contact email blast. What is a Constant Contact email blast? Simply put, it is an email that goes out to hundreds of parishioners at the exact same time. To keep everyone informed, we need to always have your current email address on file.
