Announcements May 11 – 17

THANK YOU – The Rummage Sale team would like to give a heartfelt THANK YOU to all who worked so hard to make our springtime rummage sale a success.  The pre-sale advertising and posting of flyers all over town; the parishioners and their friends who filled the Parish Hall with donations; the volunteers that set up the Parish Hall, unloaded cars, sorted, organized, and priced “treasures” for days; the volunteers that worked the sale on Friday and Saturday; Fay & Ike Cole’s lunch on Friday; Matt Thompson’s lunch on Saturday; and the team that re-packed our leftovers for the Salvation Army truck. Our volunteers ranged in age from 4 to 100 and it was a wonderful week of both working and fellowship. It really takes a dedicated team to make this sale happen and we can’t thank you all enough! We took in $3400. A donation will be made to the Homeless Prevention Council.

PRAYER SHAWL MINISTRY – KNITTERS NEEDED – Our pastoral visitors take the shawls to homes, nursing homes and hospitals after they have been blessed at one of our Eucharistic services. We also knit baby blankets for newborns. There is no right or wrong way to create these shawls of love and care but we do request that they be approximately 24” by 60” in size (though baby blankets are much smaller!) If you can help, please call Sandy Marshall at 508-255-9971 or svm2@comcast.net.
