Giving Statements Coming Soon: Giving Statements for January through October are being sent out. Again we will be sending them to most households by email! Just in case you might think it is yet another SPAM email, here is what the email will look like:

Those of you who have been getting the Together newsletter by traditional mail will receive your Giving Statements by traditional mail instead of by email.

Sunday, November 3: Youth breakfast – After the 10 am service please join us in the Parish Hall for another wonderful brunch prepared and served by our youth group. Pumpkin Waffles, Bacon, Fruit & Juice, Coffee Tea. $8 per person; Children under 18 are free.
CHS SCHOLARSHIP AWARD: The Church of the Holy Spirit awards a $1000 scholarship to a deserving senior who attends and contributes to the church. This can be for a collegiate or other school of higher learning. This year we have a bumper crop of 5 seniors. The scholarship committee is asking for donations to the fund as all of the seniors are worthy of the award. Please help by sending a check to the church made out to the CHS scholarship fund. Thank you.
Thursday, November 7: LADIES LUNCHEON – Bring a sandwich to share and join us at 12 Noon in the Parish Hall. Our committee is: Pat Carroll, Chips; Betty Yearing, Juice; Jane Affleck, Half and Half; Gail Binney Sterne, Paper Goods; Fay Cole, Centerpieces; Dilys Smith, Dessert.
Monday, November 11: In honor of Veteran’s Day the office will be closed.
Friday, November 15: MONTHLY GARDEN PARTY – 8 am to 12 Noon – FALL CLEAN-UP. Please join us in the back parking lot. There will be lots of clean up and winter preparations to do. All parishioners and their friends are encouraged to join us. Come when convenient and stay as long as you can. Gilbert Merritt
Friday, November 22: Labyrinth Walk – Our walk this month will take place at 10 am and will take 40-45 minutes. The labyrinth will remain up until noon for people to walk. This month we will be walking with Thanksgiving and Gratitude. As part of our Thanksgiving and Gratitude theme, we will be collecting canned goods, pasta, cereal, etc. for the Lower Cape Outreach Council’s Food Pantry. You will be able to drop off items from 10 to noon in the Parish Hall. All are welcome to join us. Think about bringing a friend. We hope to see you there. Gail Smith+

Friday, November 29 & Saturday, November 30: 42nd ANNUAL HOLIDAY ANTIQUES SHOW AND SALE – SAVE THE DATES: Plans are underway for the 42nd Annual Antiques Show and Sale to be held on Friday, November 29, 10 am – 4 pm and on Saturday, November 30, 10 am – 3 pm in the Parish Hall.
Antique Show and Sale: First Time VOLUNTEERS Wanted! Seeking those who can give 1 to 2 hours, on 1 of 2 days! It’s that simple! WHAT: Sit at a table, welcome patrons at the door OR help them buy lunch at the 42nd annual Antique Show, When: Friday November 29 OR Saturday November 30. Yes, that’s right, THANKSGIVING WEEKEND! Times: Shifts on both days, from 11:30-3:00 pm. Provided: All instructions along with comfortable chairs, good company, and best of all… give of yourself, spend a lovely hour or two enjoying a wonderful event. ALTAR FLOWERS: Please consider a donation for altar flowers! Just fill out an Altar Flowers request card, available at all the church entrances. You may choose to do this to remember someone or perhaps to celebrate a special anniversary or birthday. For a donation of fifty dollars the Flower Guild will purchase and arrange flowers and the name(s) of the loved ones being honored will be noted in the service bulletins of the weekend services of the chosen date.
CHS FEATURED ARTIST: The artist for the month of November is Janet Winter. Janet has been doing artwork all her life – happily progressing from Crayolas, to oil, watercolors, ink and colored pencils. She has won a number of awards and enjoyed several one-woman museum shows. Please come and enjoy her show! The 2020 CHS Gallery sign up sheet is ready to be filled! There remain a few “open” months to exhibit/sell your art/craft for one month in 2020. The sign up sheet is located by the door in the Reception Room Gallery.
FREE SHOP: Your Fall/Winter clothing donations are most welcomed. We are open Monday: 12 Noon to 3 pm and Wednesday: 10 am to 1 pm. Donations can be dropped off during shop hours or placed in the box outside the shop door any time the parish hall is open. Needed – paper shopping bags with handles, the Free Shop has gone green!
