CHS FEATURED ART EXHIBIT: The featured CHS artist for January is the Prayer Shawl Ministry. The lovely shawls we have knitted for parishioners in need of warmth and loving comfort have been a ministry at CHS for years. Each shawl is blessed by the clergy before they’re distributed. Our parish prayer shawls will be on display in the reception room during January. If you would like to take a shawl to someone, just choose a shawl on display and sign on the clip board so we know who will receive the shawl. If you want to join our group of knitters, please visit the display for more information or contact Sandy Marshall at 508-255-9971 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
FREE SHOP: Your Winter clothing donations are most welcomed. We are open Monday: 12 Noon to 3 pm and Wednesday: 10 am to 1 pm. Donations can be dropped off during shop hours or placed in the box outside the shop door any time the parish hall is open. Questions? Contact Sharyn Laughton at email@example.com or Suzy Gray at 774-772-1210/ firstname.lastname@example.org.
Health Ministry: Health Ministry – January’s tip of the month is COLD and FLU protection! Minimize your exposure by washing your hands OFTEN, keeping your distance from coughers and sneezers, disinfecting surfaces (faucets, doorknobs, keyboards). Get your flu shot if you haven’t yet. The CDC recommends that everyone 6 months of age and older should get a flu vaccine every season, with rare exception. Check out the tips we’ve posted around the campus this month, take good care of yourselves, and let’s stay cold & flu-free together! Meg Nemitz and Ann Pike-Paris, co-chairs
LADIES LUNCHEON: We had a good turnout for our January meeting, including Debra Kissinger+ and her daughter, Emma-Li, who was visiting from college. Our next meeting is February 6. Come to the Parish Hall at 12 noon, bring a sandwich to share, and enjoy whatever happens!
READING FOR SPIRITUAL GROWTH ON TUESDAY MORNINGS: On Tuesday, at 10 am in the Library. Our group is discussing our new selection, “The Sabbath” by Abraham Heschel. The group meets on the first and third Tuesday of each month in the church library from 10 am to noon and welcomes new members. If you would like to join us call Sandy Marshall, 508-255-9971 or email@example.com.
CONSTANT CONTACT: Here at the Church of the Holy Spirit, we occasionally send out a Constant Contact email blast. What is a Constant Contact email blast? Simply put, it is an email that goes out to hundreds of parishioners at the exact same time. To keep everyone informed, we need to always have your current email address on file. So, if you change your email address, please let the office know! Our contact info: firstname.lastname@example.org or 508-255-0433.
