This is a major parish fundraiser and is always a fun event. We can’t pull it off without a lot of help. Holy Conversations: Sundays in Lent & Easter – March 15, 29, April 19, 26 from 11:30 am to 2 pm in the Parish Hall. During our Holy Conversations we will share stories from the Church of the Holy Spirit’s history. After collecting our stories during our first Holy Conversation, we will decide which ones we want to talk about more. We do this work as part of our preparation for the next rector. Like the Japanese art of Kintsugi, we will mend the broken pieces of our stories into a wholeness that is made possible only through Jesus Christ. We will also be creating a beautiful work of Kintsugi together and have a healing service. Since the Holy Conversations are for adults only, all children and young adults are welcome in the Gathering Room for fun and games!
CHOIR APPRECIATION: SUNDAY, MARCH 15 – We deeply appreciate our wonderful choir every Sunday, but on Sunday, March 15, we will give them special recognition and celebrate with a festive coffee hour following the service. Please plan to attend and then join in the first of our Holy Conversations.
Wednesday Soup Suppers this Lent: Continuing with the Wednesdays during Lent, March 11th, 18th, 25th, April 1st, we will meet at 5 pm in the Parish Hall to share in a simple meal of soup and bread. We will watch the Oscar nominated film ‘Chocolat’ and examine the story and characters to explore what it means to be truly and completely human as God intended. Please contact Dianne Fromm at firstname.lastname@example.org or 508-255-3481 or sign up in the parish hall to make soup or bake bread for the evening.
MAUNDY THURSDAY: The sign up sheet for our Maundy Thursday Vigil is available in the reception room. Please come and sign up for this meaningful devotion.
