Announcements March 14 – 20

Holy Conversations:  Sundays in Lent & Easter – March 15, 29, April 19, 26 from 11:30 am to 2 pm in the Parish Hall. Sharing and learning from the stories of CHS’s history in preparation for the new rector. Celebrate Life-giving stories; heal Life-sapping stories while making Japanese Kintsugi art. We move through this process knowing that Jesus will heal our Lenten brokenness, in confidence that God never abandons us, and Easter reconciliation is just ahead. Since the Holy Conversations are for adults only, all children and young adults are welcome in the Gathering Room for fun and games!

CHOIR APPRECIATION: SUNDAY, MARCH 15 – We deeply appreciate our wonderful choir every Sunday, but on Sunday, March 15, we will give them special recognition and celebrate with a festive coffee hour following the service. Please plan to attend and then join in the first of our Holy Conversations.

POTLUCK COFFEE HOURS:  March 15, 29, April 19, 26 are the Sundays designated for “Holy Conversations” and participants will need a little extra sustenance! We will use a potluck approach to coffee hour on March 29April 19 and 26 so no one person bears the burden of feeding us all. Look for the sign up board in the Parish Hall to indicate that you will bring something to share on those Sundays

Wednesday Soup Suppers this Lent:  Wednesdays during Lent, March 18, 25, April 1, at 5 pm in the Parish Hall to share in a simple meal of soup and bread and watch the Oscar nominated film ‘Chocolat’. HEALTH MINISTRY:  March’s topic of the month is Brain Health. Did you know, more than 3.5 million children and adults sustain an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) each year? For more information, go to Food & Drug Administration Medicines and You: A Guide for Older Adults – http://www/

LADIES LUNCHEON:  We had a record turnout for our March 5 Ladies Luncheon.  The day was lovely and it was easy to forget that things could go wrong in our world.  However, due to the threats of flu and the corona virus, we will suspend meetings until June, and then assess the situation.  In the meantime, stay well, stay safe, and God Bless.
